Hello all,

New to this forum and have enjoyed it very much. I am also new to selling doamin names and have a question.

I did read the ebay thread and agree very much that some names are insanley priced. The ones that start at low minimum get next to no bid activity at all.

I'd like think the names I have are more valuable (Of Course) than many I see on ebay and am afraid to list them on auction for fear of "Giving" them away.

So, My question is this. Does anyone have experience selling DN on other auction sites (Go Daddy's Auctions) seem to be more active and realistically bid than ebay.

Also, my DN are registered with godaddy, it's my understanding that I cannot sell those in the marketplace sites such as buy domains or others because of where I registered them.

I would so much appreciate some insight from any of you who have experience and have had some success. Also if there is another thread that address my questions that would be helpful as well.

Regards,

FS

I personally think most domain auction sites are overcrowded. You take your chances that somebody will be interested in your domain, sooner or later.

The reason the constant sellers at auctions are successful is they actively go out looking for buyers beforehand.

You may very well have the best domain name since sliced bread, but if you haven't told any bakers that it is available to buy how in the world are they supposed to know?

So you have a choice, you can just shove a domain on an auction and see it get no interest whatsoever, or you can get out there and shout it from the rooftops and let everyone and anyone know where it is.

I suppose that will depends on the domain names first of all. For various domain names various approach can be used.

I'm not sure about BuyDomains.com, but I know that there's no registrar restriction for auctions such as T.R.A.F.F.I.C. or DomainFest. However, they do charge you a hefty fee (I believe at least $100) if the domain isn't at Moniker at the time of sale.
