I have done a couple of times, I pre-reg'd it but it never came through (got a refund) and who.is doesn't return anything. Curious if it's been made private. Thanks though :)

Haven't checked the charts in many months, lost interest. But decided to download the reg numbers today, so I can see how much each one drops this year. Remembered this thread and noticed only 235 regs for .auction, 0 regs the last day. So average, 8 regs a day. Not looking good on this one.

Not my Fav. gTLD, too limited but exactly where do you get your numbers? I'm looking at a very slow upswing but it's going up. You posted NO regs today, what source?

While you're at it I'd like to know how many crap .com's dropped today and no one picked them up since we're talking stats? :P

Honestly why not just ignor these threads for now WHEN "hanging in the .com"?

It's not the popular form of the word, but Foreclose.Auction is available to register for $29 bucks or so, help yourself if you want it.

Got them from here:

http://www.registrarstats.com/TLDDomainCounts.aspx

https://ntldstats.com/tld

Looks like the first one is off. The second one, is still low tho.

Not sure what .com has to do with this one or the other one's extremely low reg numbers showing lack of demand, which is not something you usually invest in. .com gained more this year then all the new gtlds combined.

Do you really consider 1,495 in about a month, success?

That literally gets 10 searches a month, it's not one you should buy. If you want to try new gtlds, you should be on point. The few sales that do happen, usually are. It's like I said before, that one thread where people are posting up their new gtlds, horrible. It's like desperate domaining. There are over 450 new gtlds now live, people should be able to find some that make sense and ........ in the right order.

@JB
if you dont have domains to display please dont comment here. i have seen your comments in most of the gtlds discussion you give negative thoughts.
it is better to keep silent rather than placing your negative comments.

If someone does not believe in an extension then it makes sense that they would not own any.

They are still free to have and express their thoughts & opinions.

@brad i agree with you.
thoughts are most welcome but not negative comments where somebody doesnt have a business here. i have been reading and observing most of the new gtlds discussion, this gentlemen doesnt just post only on this discussion.
i hope forums are to be healthy, friendly, informative and valuable to the members rather than poking in other business .most of the domain investors aware of new gtlds pros and cons. and it depends on the person, i do book some domains which doesnt have a commercial value it just for the name irrespective of extension.

lets wait and see what the end user wants rather than judging at very early stage.
do you think the registrar's didnt do their home work to launch an extension of spending millions. new things will take time to accept by the people unless it advertised by celebrity :)

this is not an personal attack on any member just shared my thought and what i observed
cheers!

So thoughts are welcome but not negative, only if they're positive?

The title says -
.auction extension

My posts were about the .auction extension.

"do you think the registrar's didnt do their home work to launch an extension of spending millions"

Obviously not good enough based on the reg numbers.

Like I asked :

"Do you really consider 1,495 in about a month, success?"

Do you?

If you have a keyword that works with this extension, in the right order, you might have a chance of making some profit. toy, land, gun, doll, online etc. So there is some positivity.

hi JB
so you saw just the title and not the first content of the thread?

if you think some of the keywords which you have mentioned only will make profits for the investors? then i agree with you the extension is failure :)

the investors which they registered and posted here are really good keywords and i am pretty much sure they know to make profit out of it.

Going to start a domain auction site, using .auction. Yes I know it's been done a million times but it's more for fun than profit. I need some help with categories that should be listed on the site. If anyone has a good domain name categories list please PM me with the list as I think it's important to have all the correct categories for domainers listing their domains.

I would even appreciate a categorie that you can't find on other auction sites that you wish was there.

My new .auction reg is: IDN.auction
