Hey Folks,

I've just started using squadhelp.com to list some of my brandable. So far I have 76 domains listed, there is no fee to list. I've had some decent action so far in the way of interested buyers but no sales as of yet. I've only been with them for 1 week now.

A bit of a summary review of SquadHelp:

PROS
  • No Listing fee
  • No Logo design fee
  • Ability to submit your names to end users holding naming contests
  • Ability to chat directly or send a message directly to end users.
  • Stats of your marketplace domains are shown in the marketplace dashboard.
  • Their customer service and support has been great, 24hr a day chat.
  • Ability to increase or decrease the list price of your domains or to show a discount. You can decrease or increase the price yourself by $200. If you want to lower more, you can contact support.
  • End users can shortlist your domains before they make a decision on which they want to purchase. The number of shortlists is shown in you marketplace dashboard.
  • When you submit your names you get to set the price you wish to get. Because their commissions are high I recommend listing at a higher price to offset the commission costs.
  • Their landing pages are fairly basic but they work. Because the marketplace is fairly new, I'm sure we will see style improvements in the future.
  • One thing I really like is they accept multiple extensions. I have listed .co and .io along with .com
  • Each seller gets a direct link to their marketplace portfolio, HERES MY PORTFOLIO. It is handy if your trying to p[promote your portfolio through social media.
  • I like that their marketplace doesn't have tens of thousands domain listings like BB. They are fairly strict on the domains they accept to list and so this helps keep the number of domains in the marketplace down and gets your listings more exposure.
CONS
  • Their commissions are very high, depending on the domain name they are usually between 30% and 35%. However, there are no listing fees, no logo design fees, so in the end their commission is very similar to brand buckets.
  • Their logos are not top quality, in fact I requested to have some of my logos remade.
  • I think they have a big backlog of logos to design, the wait time for logo design has been around 1 week, but your names are still listed while the logos are being designed.
  • After your names are accepted you need to agree to their commission rate, at this point you also need to apply your own keywords, descriptions etc. I found this was very time consuming.

Hello, I am listing a few domains on ATOM and I am trying to change the pronunciation. I have two words, one ends in an S and the next begins with and H and I cannot get it to not pronounce the two letters together as in shhh. Any ideas?

Does Atoms new Ai discovery agents mean more sales ? I don't think so ??? , maybe it will help sell domains that their agents think are a good match.

The number of premium domains keeps growing , nearly 384000 as of now. I think unless you have really strong domains or by chance get favored by an Ai agent you are likely to see a continued downward spiral in your STR. Funny how a STR chart/graph has never been supplied.
It only seems to be getting worse. There's a new 500 Premium domain portfolio in their wholesale marketplace. It looks like all the domains were registered in the past 3 months. I randomly checked a couple with Google to see if I was missing something. The only search results for one of the domains was the domain itself and a couple other sites that seem to have indexed it. Maybe I need a domain refresher course, but I don't see how most of the domains were approved as Premium.

I don't know if there is a fix for it but this is my view on it .....If a buyer clicks on your domain , it is probably because they get how it should be pronounced. Buyers who don't know how to pronounce it probably would not click on the name in the first place. Can you share the name?

When we search our atom premium domains at sedo, The result as below :

Oops! Your desired domain is already taken .
xxxxx.com is not for sale right now . But we can still help you get this domain !!

When i try to list again it shows domain pending for verification !!! even though i pointed domains to sedo !!!
So because sedo end the partnership, our domains stuck in the middle and as if belong to someone else and we should prove ownership !!
This domain markets are fu*king each others and we are the victims !!!

Now that @Atom.com is also a registrar, the transfer and payout process for at least some names is super fast.

I will be reporting the sale in the appropriate NamePros thread once it has been listed in NameBio, but I came in from an evening walk, had a "your domain name sold" email from Atom for an Atom Premium name, unlisted it other places, went to Unstoppable to unlock it and get the auth code, submitted that, and in about 30 minutes or so from when I first read the email about the sale I had been paid. Thank you Atom!

I am sure with some names the process will be slower, but for this one everything so smooth. It was also one of the first names I had transferred out of @Unstoppable Domains ( I have transferred many names in, just not many out), and was glad that process was smooth and fast to expedite the transfer.

Okay, but that's the policy. Atom's premium listings are supposed to remain exclusive – except for Afternic, but then the price has to be increased by 10-15%.

I don't think you're a victim in that situation. You know what you're getting into :xf.wink:

.

We are not allowed to list Atom premium at Sedo.

I hope @Atom.com will reconsider and allow us to list at +10%, but currently that is the policy

What matters to me that we lost extra exposure for our premium .now domains on atom , As you know afternic not listing .now extension .

I am fine with adding extra 10-15% , But to give more exposure to our domains . Unfortunately they control us with their policies !

Since Atom allows sellers to list at ICANN registrars at +10%, you retain the oppty to promote .now on (i) Namecheap & Spaceship if you self-list on SellerHub & (ii) PorkBun via Atom's partnership, and (iii) Unstoppable if you self-list.

However 6 registrars were lost due to Sedo ending their partnership (including Dynadot & NameSilo and 4 smaller ones). I have reached out to @Atom.com to see if a solution can be implemented - hopefully they are open to my suggestion(s).

Also Darpan mentioned that some new distribution will be coming online shortly. Perhaps that will regain some of what was lost.

Definitely listing effectively at Atom is a learning curve, and the new interface gives even more options, but requires getting used to. There is a lot available in the various tabs.

I put together this graphic to show what you can see/do from the new Atom interface. This is not an official Atom document, just something I put together.

When I started domain investing less than 10 years ago I never conceived we would have a marketplace option with this much customization. In fact back then having a description and CamelCasing was considered revolutionary.

And to this day, Afternic has implemented only one of those, Sedo* neither.

*I’m only counting landing page descriptions.

Is there a way to add a description to a landing page without including everything else that gets added to the page if we uncheck Minimal Landing Page?

I'd like to add descriptions to some landing pages but I don't want to include the "You May Also Like" names or the "Other Names Based On " names. Can this be done?

Only limited, in Marketplace Settings.
