Hello everyone, I'm ready to sell my baby, a free web host that I built from the ground up to the highest bidder.
There is no reserve, and I can be reached at [email protected] with any inquiries, offers, or comments.
Most of the details regarding the service are available at the auction, via ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7521703809&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MESE:IT&rd=1
Statistics for the site are available at:
http://www.atgig.com/cgi-bin/awstats.pl
I would recommend checking our stats with www.alexa.com. We have a high ranking. We get lots of hits. The other day we were ranked as one of the 30,000 most popular sites on the web. (http://www.javacade.com/june09.gif) This is not magic traffic. I am only posting the stats for this last month, other stats are available on request.
I have not as yet tapped the thousands of users, nor emailed them via our mailing list regarding paid hosting. The paypal links on our page are not active. This represents great potential for a web host to come in and gain instant market share. You would be looking at an instant client base as well as hundreds of future ones.
Regarding server info, it's on two semprons, 80 gigs hd. Yes we 'oversell'. Less than a dozen users use the whole gig. It could be run on a single 'super server'.
I have been very impressed with how CPA programs have performed on Atgig. Initially I made several hundred dollars just in ex24.com commissions. (cannot show proof as ex24 does not provide referral stats) then tried other programs including green zap. While I'm sure some of you have open doubts about the legitimacy of their referral program, I was amazed that Atgig reaped well over 1,000 registrations. Any one with a site that can get 1,000 users to respond to a CPA program is in possession of great potential.
Additionally, I have taken great profit from 404/302 errors on our server (we delete abusers). I sell the million+ hits we got to such errors this month alone at $8 per ten thousand and with this money easily pay for the servers and pocket around $1,000 a month. Proof of such income is available for view at:

I blurred buyer's names for privacy, but it should be clear that I am not losing money on the venture, and that anyone with some vision of taking the 'gmail' of webhosts over and building it into something large will do well.
I'll be watching this post if you have any questions. Happy Bidding!
