At which hour exactly will the .com domain expire?

It has pending delete status. It is listed on pool.com and they show deletion date in 5 days since entering pending delete. But not an exact hour.

Taken already. I am wondering whether the guy knew when to handreg it or did he use a dropcatcher.

Most of domain with unique words and have PR already being spied by brokers. It's hard to hunt our favorite domains.

The domain drop time is between 11 AM and 3 PM , mostly they drop in batches during this time.

But one thing i don't understand: You said that the name is listed on pool with 5 days to go until drop. Then the same day you post again and say that the name is "taken already" by someone else. Thats not possible. The name was probably still in pending delete and thats probably what you meant with "taken"? You can check the status with any whois checker. There you can see the Status (PENDING DELETE) which is 6 days long.

Good names are mostly backordered by snap services or private dropcatchers.

many domains are hunted by the same domain registration that order them, so they will never expired.
plus you got many provider like sedo.com that take the best domain name / traffic domains.

Everything you said is wrong :/

Domains in pending delete status always drop and are either backordered (that means they get reregistered by the backorder services with their multiple registrars the millisecond they become available from Verisign in case of .com for instance) or they drop more or less peacefully and people can reregister them with their usual registrar like godaddy for few bucks.

Sedo is not a registrar or provider or backorder service. Its a parking company. The domains you see there belong to other people who listed them there, they (mostly ;) don't belong to sedo.
