I had started this thread to explore the affects of AI on domaining and the Internet at large, but it was kind of Sabotaged and Derailed as the Moderators and Admins watched and did nothing about it. Now I am giving it another chance by trying to start some intelligent debate on this subject.
Everyone’s opinions are welcomed, but keep your comments constructive, professional, and on topic.

In the old days at the beginning of the Internet before there were any search engines people started getting in the habit of adding .com to whatever keywords they could think of and typed them in on their computer to see if there was a website there that was of interest to them, that's how type in traffic got started which has lasted for many years now, although people are doing less type ins nowadays as their habits have changed which has caused a new landscape to form as far as domaining is concerned.
20 years later it seems like things are beginning to change again, but for whatever reason people tend to want to ignore the sea change that is going to be upon them soon. As we are aware more and more people are beginning to use smart assistants to help them find what they need on the Internet, it won’t be much longer before those smart assistants evolve into full-fledged AI entities that can act as middlemen between us and the websites that we interact with.
Do you think that we as humans are going to keep visiting websites in the future the way that we do it now or is AI going to find whatever we need for us. Lets say you want to buy a bicycle, you just tell AI what kind of bicycle you like to have and give it a price range of what you like to pay (assuming we still have to use money by then) and let AI do the rest for you as far as ordering the bicycle, paying for it and making arrangements for delivery. I know that smart assistants can do most of these already, but the final decision still lies with us as humans and we probably have to keep an eye on every stage of the process, but AI can make most of the decisions for us and depending on our comfort level we might not even need or want to be aware of or be involved in every step of the process of buying a bicycle. What if AI can just make a bicycle for us through 3d printing or some other method that we don’t even know about yet so we might not even need to go anywhere to buy a bicycle .What if you haven’t even asked for a bicycle, but AI decides to order one for you because it wants you to get some exercise. In any case AI might put itself between us and the Internet in a way that we might not need to visit any websites any more or even know their names, and keep in mind that unlike humans AI can use IP addresses to find things on the Internet without having to remember or use any domain names. And is Internet itself going to be incorporated with AI so that all AIs everywhere are going to become part of an intelligent collective that is going to replace the Internet itself.
