.tv AroundGreece.tv just launched - I would love any feedback

Hi again guys and gals,

Been busy over the weekend, finishing off a .tv project that I have recently been working on.

Introducing ... AroundGreece.tv
I previously has a small video section on our .com site, but have now expanded the video section into its own site.

I have still got some work to do on the site, along with adding a load of new videos into my database, but for now, I think its a start.

I am also looking to develop some of my own video clips which I hope to have fixed up and ready to add to the site as soon as time permits.

Any feedback, suggestions, opinions ( good or bad ) would be most welcome.

I love it, simple but very effective. I like the colour scheme & the way the Google ads fit in nicely.

Best of luck here, i am sure it will take off quickly.

I may take a bit of inspiration from you and build a similar site for a group of Geo .tv's i own (if i ever get round to it)

Thanks Mckennaronnie for your kind words,

I tried to keep the look as simple as possible, as the main thing people will want to see are the videos. I didn't reallly want to clutter it all up with any unnecessary content - the only thing I did include was the ratings part, as I wanted to make it a little more interactive.

Well done Alex! Consistent extension of you main site shows visitors professionalism. As mckennaronnie says;

Clear clean navigation and simple effective color scheme.

As you continue to tweak and add, maybe think about the web2.0 effects in shading, rounded corners, etc... That would be my only suggestion, but you've done a great job. Props to you!

Be sure to check out GeoTourism.TV... and add your site to the GeoTourism Search engine. Also the GeoParks page should be of interest as one of the world's first GeoParks is in Greece... Lesvos island's petrified forest.

I still have some work to do on the site, and I will look into the Web.2.0 suggestions you made. At the moment, I am working with the top menu strip to get something that is a little less blocky.

Argos, this was something I was also not 100% sure about. Our .com site has been operating for about 5 years, and we have built up quite a good reputation, and it is a name that many travel related businesses in Greece are aware of.

I had few other names in mind, but in the end, I thought it would be best to stick with our brand name. At first, I was considering to keep the video section within the main .com site, but I thought it would be a good opportunity to try and develope a .tv, so in the end, I had to stick with the name with which we are known for.

I do however have GreeceChannel.tv, which was my other "favourite " alternative, but I think this name would work better for a Youtube style site, while the AroundGreece.tv one does ( in my opinion ) work with what we are promoting and the industry that we specialize in.
