So, I can't tell if this guy is trying to scam me or what.
A person contacted me about one of my domains. He did not make an offer. I named a price. He didn't seem appalled or anything but demanded that I get it appraised before he makes an offer. However, the three places he accepted appraisals from cost over $60 a piece. I suggested that I get it appraised at a cheaper place. His response was 'cheap cannot be good'. So, I guess what I'm wondering here is - is this standard practice? Why would a cheaper appraisal not be good? And, is it possible this guy has a deal with the 3 places he suggested I get the domain appraised? Should I go ahead and get it appraised, although I have no guarantee that he actually will make a reasonable offer, just a flimsy statement that he will make an offer when he sees an appraisal certificate?
