My Problem

I got a mail from some reseller . he asked for one of my domain. He said not to make offer and tell the exact price what i wanted . I told him the price and now he asked me for a professional appraisal Certificate. My problem is that i dont have Credit card or enough amount in my paypal to pay for appraisal. I told him either u make some offer or do the appraisal yourself.

he even says that he need appraisal from some independent company . he wont believe on afternic or godady appraisal.

So what should i do in this case.

This is a common appraisal scam. Do not continue with negotiations. This scammer will do nothing but waste your time.

It's your domain. If he/she doesn't buy on your terms, don't sell! If he really wants your domain than he/she can pay for an appraisal.

Man .... i too got this URl in my mail and whatever is written on the above post is just true. http://domaintalk.ourplace.com/Archive/40156.htm. This is for sure a Big scam.

Don't even reply to his emails, definately 100% SCAM. The guy has no interest in buying your domain. He only has interest into suckering you into having an appraisal done. Blocking his emails would be your best bet.

It's definitely a scam. As a noob, i too had such an offer and it sounded fishy to me. So I read up on it here and lo and behold, many other people had gotten identical emails. I'm thankful for forums like this where people can "out" the scammers.
