Catching up reading a few Forbes articles, I stumbled upon a guest post from the CEO of Ideasicle.com, Will Burns.

Burns shared an article written by one of his resident naming experts, Alexandra Watkins, about the challenges of naming a company.

In the article, Alexandra provides 3 insights to operate by when naming a company, exploring the use of voice assistants to test the clarity of a brand or domain name.

Good real, Alvin. Thanks.
As a professional "namer" there are so many variables that debate the pros and cons. It's subjective. We all know the words Travelocity and Trivago - They would NOT have passed the Siri test. However, it costs them millions to make that brand have value.
Twittr would have failed...They did end up buying Twitter. Build from scratch or build a brand?
A company in the "Great Lakes" makes windows and expands all the way to California. The "Great Lakes" became irrelevant and the business was acquired and the name was dropped and the windows rebranded [PlyGem].
Is it the domain or the actions behind the domain that matter?
