Are the people at TDNAM smoking crack?

I was just looking at the domains in the Expired Domains Auction... Names that are dropping and GoDaddy is auctioning off... Well there is one there that I found interesting. PremierAd.com listed with a starting bid of $30,000, set by GoDaddy, yet it also has a GoDaddy certified appraisal attached to it listing its value from $82-213. Does anyone else find this extremely disturbing? I can't believe they'd appraise the domain for $200 tops and then start it off with a $30,000 opening bid. Just goes to show that their appraisals are an absolute joke, but I'm sure most of you knew that already :)

I always thought they just smacked their hand on the number pad when making appraisals...

:hehe:

Why is it always "smoking crack" whenever somebody does something weird?

Why can't they be doing cocaine, heroine, meth, lsd, drinking alcohol or just smoking weed?

Everywhere I look these days, people are using the "smoking crack" expression.

Never mind... off topic... I'm just rambling... sorry. :red:

Dude your smoking crack... LMAO and just kidding:)

I think thier appraisal is more like the real price! If they were gonna list it for 30k they should not attach the appraisal... They must be trip'n...

If someone says they think they hear or see something that's not there, I'll say they're on acid.

Well, I've done it again.... taken a thread completely off topic, and brought along everyone else with me for the ride. My apologies to slipxaway.

I shall issue myself warning points, and stand in the corner for an hour.

No problem db, the OP said pretty much everything in his first post anyway.

I'll issue you with an anti-warning point (or should that be negative-warning point?) for writing another great post and for making me laugh yet again. :)

You can stay in the corner though! :p

why give drug addicts such a bad press when the weird behaviour is probably just a routine activity of normal republicans?

It's not only TDNAM but also Sedo, buydomains etc. Many domain owners have unrealistic price expectations. Perhaps it's worse with sellers at tdnam
because:
1. my guess is there are more noobs than savvy domain owners at godaddy
2. godaddy tends to foster a lot of hype along with their nonsense appraisals so domain owners get an inaccurate idea of the value of their domain names

SDS, I think you misunderstood my post... The domain is not for sale by somebody, it's an expired domain name that is being directly sold by GoDaddy... GoDaddy itself set the price of 30,000, yet they have their own appraisal attached to it stating its worth like $200..

lol Probably the best post I've seen all day.

I think GoDaddy is still figuring out what to do with TDNAM. I've noticed similar abberations before that I just scratch my head about. I'd be interested in knowing what they will do with the domain when they won't get a single bid.

Maybe they'll sell it on Afternic's Bazaar :)

I wonder if someone had it in a private listing for $30k and then it expired and the amount just stayed with the listing. Normally, GD wouldn't DO an appraisal on an expiring name.
