TDNAM Auction Question

Hi,

I recently won a domain at TDNAM (but it was different than others I have bid on). This one appears to be more like SEDO, where GoDaddy is the middleman.

After I paid, the auction stayed in "Pending Authorization" status for a few days. I called to inquire, and they said that GoDaddy waits a certain number of days to verify the funds (I used a GoDaddy Gift card, so don't know what they had to verify).

So today I got a notification that the funds are authorized, and that I should "Purchase a Transfer" from the seller -- i.e. go to my WON AUCTIONS section, and purchase the transfer, then email the current owner to get authorization codes (it's currently at a non-Godaddy Registrar).

My question is that I have an account at the other registrar -- do I have to purchase the GoDaddy transfer -- or can I simply have the current seller do an account change to my account at the other registrar?

Has anyone had experience with this type of TDNAM Auction?

TIA,
DN

You can contact the seller and do a push to your account at that registrar. Then just inform TDNAM that your in receipt of the domain and you consider the transaction complete. The problem might be that the seller may be reluctant to do this without payment. TDNAM won't pay him for 30 days anyway.
