Hi,
I recently won a domain at TDNAM (but it was different than others I have bid on). This one appears to be more like SEDO, where GoDaddy is the middleman.
After I paid, the auction stayed in "Pending Authorization" status for a few days. I called to inquire, and they said that GoDaddy waits a certain number of days to verify the funds (I used a GoDaddy Gift card, so don't know what they had to verify).
So today I got a notification that the funds are authorized, and that I should "Purchase a Transfer" from the seller -- i.e. go to my WON AUCTIONS section, and purchase the transfer, then email the current owner to get authorization codes (it's currently at a non-Godaddy Registrar).
My question is that I have an account at the other registrar -- do I have to purchase the GoDaddy transfer -- or can I simply have the current seller do an account change to my account at the other registrar?
Has anyone had experience with this type of TDNAM Auction?
TIA,
DN
