Hello,
You maybe seen these last days a green interactive banner ad running inviting domainers to test their knowledge:
The test show 4 dot com where 3 are premiums and one not.
The user need to find the no premium name in less than 12 seconds.
The test was the same for DNF and NamePros visitors.
It was ramdomly served from a prepared set of 500 tests of easy level.
After 2 or 3 days running, results are here:
Testers:
NamePros 484
DNF 554
Timeout:
NamePros 8.88 %
DNF 10.65 %
Lost:
NamePros 44.21 %
DNF 42.60 %
Won:
NamePros 46.90 %
DNF 46.75 %
Interpretation:
The percentage of visitors who succeed the test is similar on both forum.
The main difference look likes to be in the Timeout/Lost.
Maybe DNF visitors are a bit older and need more time to think and respond, this should explain the higher timeout.
At the inverse, NamePros visitors are speeder but do more errors.
I was surprised to only see a 47% winners rate with an easy test level.
But I assume this confirms what I always say:
At the inverse of domainers people don't see the difference between garbage and premium names.
If you was tired to see our ads, sorry guys, our mission continue:
Help people distinguish the best from the worst to help them make a better domain buying decision.

Conclusion:
DNF vs NamePros ==> No winner!
