I have this one word domain Cooned.com. It gets more hits than any of the other domains I have parked. It's a real word and does not have the meaning that many think although it borders on it. I've turned it into a anti-discrimination parked page.

What would be the value of this one word domain cooned.com?

Thsnks

if it doesnt mean what people think it means why turn it into an anti-discrimination parked page? That furthers the perception. So what does Cooned mean? first result i see on google is not encouraging. valued as 0 based on untouchable factor

Cooned.com appraisal

Cooned means to steal and it does have an obvious discriminatory tone to it. SEDO won't touch it just for that reason so it's parked and listed for sale elsewhere. It's one word...that's the real value and not everyone will want it but who knows.

As you know, discrimination and racism is all over the place and that is probably the reason it gets the most hits out of all of my domains.

Thanks for your input.

Cooned.com

Laughing is good as long as they keep clicking and making me money. That's the name of the game, isn't it?

Why are most of the people on this site so cynical to the point of ridicule? I had hoped that this site had professional domaineers on it but I'm getting the idea that it's nothing more that a chance for people to slam others.

The point is that your names value is only worth what someone is willing to pay you for your parking revenue. No company would want even stand close to "cooned". Your traffic will always have the threat of the rug being pulled out from under it based on low quality score or pure not wanting to be associated with "cooned". Which will lower even an offer to buy this from you based on proven parking stats.

This is true. No one may never want it as a stand alone website but since it does get direct type traffic it could be purchased and used as a domain where the traffic received is forwarded to the real owners site so that they can take advantage of the cooned.com traffic.

I appreciate the input.

John is one of the most professional people I have ever had the pleasure to learn from here and he is one of the better appraisers, for might I add, absolutely no recompense.

If he says your name is either $0 or impossible to sell then there is a reason for that. If he says it is worth $1000+ then there is a reason for that too.

Not all domains are a good idea even if they are legitimate words because of the connotations, and I myself was not going to bother with this one as it should be blindingly obvious to all.

I do not see anyone who might want to be associated with this, as it would be commercial suicide just as ni**er.com would be too if acquired by Amazon to redirect to their site (Don't flame me, just making my point)

You got your definition from the Urban Dictionary I am guessing, this is not good.

If you are getting parking clicks then I assume that is all you will ever get, or multiples there-of.

I agree with the folks here valuing this domain at zero. Probably best to chalk this one up to a learning experience and start buying quality domains in the aftermarket. IMO.
