The former VerizonDigitalMedia.com Services unit, including its serverless and Content Delivery Network (CDN) services, has rebranded as Edgecast.com as Apollo Global completes its acquisition of Yahoo!/Verizon Media.

... The original EdgeCast Networks Inc was founded in 2006 before being acquired by Verizon in 2013. Between 2013 and 2016, EdgeCast was a subsidiary of Verizon Communications as part of the Verizon Digital Media Services group before becoming part of Oath Inc. and then Verizon Media.
