Anyone know how I can get a domain name just with $3?

first ,it sound crazy when I hear my friend can get a top level .com domain with just $3.
and sell the domain with cheap price.
but when i ask how it can.he refuse to talk.

maybe anyone know how i can get it ,too?

Do a whois on his domain and see what registrar it's with. 3 dollars is way below cost, fyi.

Godaddy offers $1.xx .coms at times with coupon codes which is most likely how he was able to get it.....also namecheap.com does this as well.

We have a Godaddy Discount Coupons thread here and when the $1 .com codes come out, they get posted.
You have to be quick to catch the deal though, they expire quickly!

I haven't seen a $1 godaddy coupon for a little while now, so we're probably due for another one. I would suspect around Thanksgiving holiday.
