Domain Name Research Tools

Hey guys

Does anyone know of any domain name research tools other than Domain IQ? Don't get me wrong that is a great tool but unless you pay, there is a daily limit on how many sites you can checkout which is a bit of a pain when you hit it.

Of course I may just have to stop being tight and pay ha ha but thought i would ask first thanks

thanks for that but i'm more after something that tells you the background info of a domain you have already spotted before you buy. i.e previous whois record etc...

but i advise newbies not to spend money on tool site fee's, subscription fee's or listing fee's

as you see, they can up and until you learn "what to buy", it will be a waste of money.

Find Domains:
expireddomains.net (make sure to learn how the filters work)
leandomainsearch.com (try different keywords)
elertify.com (creates decent brandables, use good judgement)
domaingroovy.com (huge list of domain research tools)

Register Domains:
GoDaddy (Expensive but well known)
NameSilo ($9 .com's)
NameBright ($8.53 .com's)

Whois:
Who.is
Whois.net

Domain Age:
Waybackmachine.org

Valuations:
Flippa Evaluations
NamePros (ask the community )
Estibot
Valuate.com (It's worth it to sign up and get the cheapest plan for 10 or 20 valuations per day)

Sell Domains:
NamePros.com (Bought and sold many names, great community, never had any problems)

Tip: When dealing on NamePros make sure to check feedback if you're dealing with domains >$500, to be on the safe side you could always use an escrow service like Dn.com, Ecop.com, or Escrow.com.

GoDaddy Auctions (Have bought good names but haven't sold many here)
GoDaddy Premium Listings (Had luck selling Novelized.com here)
Flippa.com (Paid listings but great visibility, sold a LLL.com here through a broker with success)
CAX.com (Lots of hidden gems, take time to search CAX)
Sedo.com (Huge catalog of domains for sale, many are premiums)

So what metrics or information sources in a sheet make it useful?

My preference is tools that let you easily work with other tools or force everything into spreadsheets.

Trying to think of things beyond who's gathering and availability checking that add value.
