I'm thinking of sending some of my lesser (but still precious) names to ebay... but as we know some ebay users can be less than fresh as it were.

What I'm worried most about is the take backers.

I've heard of some people buying a domain name.. then taking their money back from paypal saying no good was transferred.. but also taking the name as well and screwing you over twice as nice.

Is there any safe ebay/take backer tips out there? Anyway to protect from the vile scum and villainy ebay has to offer?

Thanks in advance.

Keep your emails and send them to PayPal. If you do that they won't get the money it has happened to me. Just show them proof.

I never had a problem with domains like this. I sold an ebook once and when someone complained they didn't get it, Paypal said they only cover tangible goods. Unless that rule changed recently, I don't think you will have a problem.

PayPal always take some time to respond for customer queries. Usullay, they take 5-7 business days to respond. Keep on sending mails would't mean they can respond anyone of the mails. They will reply all the mails. But, they take time because of more requests, they receive daily.

I have sold a few names there and tend to sell to members with feedback scores not new members. I also keep copys of everthing until finalised :)

I've had a few problems with eBay and PayPal in the past.. it's not pleasant trying to get things ironed out as they can tend to be slow and unresponsive (not to mention just trying to find contact info can be a pain!)
