This thread kind of reminds me of the early days of .TEL before reality set it.
Blitz..someone might be crazy and reg them :hehe:
I'm waiting to see if they decide to make a .3d extension...or .ddd (3 d's). If that is the case, then I call dibs on Tv.ddd, you can't have it :music:
3d-tvs.in, 3d-movie.in, 3d-movies.in, 3dlcdtv.in, 3dplasmatv.in, 3dplasma.in
fair enough..... i will settle for bra.ddd and bust.ddd then :lala:
I tried for hawaii you beat me to it
Another favorite of mine is 3dmail/com/au
Just imagine opening your mail in 3d word you can walk/toogle through
.....3dphone/me looking for offers
There is no way this is the same as the .tel landrush , these domains can be developed
Not insane, but you just wasted some money. I would suggest to try to get refund on them.
And, you know what - prepaid phones are already in 3D. Try to hold one in your hand and you'll see it has 3 dimensions. Why to state obvious with domain name like 3dprepaidphones?
I am afraid lots of $$$ will be waste thanks to this thread.
No doubt. Reading through this thread it seems like the biggest winners are the registrars.
any reports on 3D sales...which is the key if 3D Domains are worth it.
my latest www.themasters3D.com The Masters 3D.com
I can't wait to go and take 3D photos and post them on my site
Look at this
Okey-dokey. I see why.
lol I wish they were shopping at my house. Big G gets richer and richer. :D
Lol, some of the domains here look like scrabble madeup names.
I also have these 3 names
i let online3d/tv drop , didn't have the spare cash for all my renewals
i decided to keep online3dtv/com in preference
The vast majority of trend names work out like that, it is lottery ticket mentality except first prize isn't much. Every school has its price I guess.

Even when lightening does strike the money isn't taken.
so when new technology appears ...........don't reg ????/
of course the law of averages says many losers , also some winners , as long as the person regging is happy , we can't just keep buying pet.net over and over again , i have about 20 3d names , i also have some apps names as i see these subjects being a part of the future , lately i have regged and purchased some idns because i feel they are the future as well , i am not going to let my portfolio become idle when i feel there are many opportunities out there , this forum by nature is pro .com and biassed against ,... many new things , the good thing about domains is if they dont sell you also have the option to develop
I have registered five 3D names. With all the negative comments by seasoned pros, I don't think I will be registering any more. Not a massive loss if they dont sell.
At that stage it is all over. It isn't like registering Mp3.com before anyone knows what it is or picking up Spyware.com on a whim. The next lady next door knows about 3d now. It would appear thousands of 3d names have been registered, to the point where what is being registered sounds little better than random words stuck together.
The actual market for "3D" name is likely to be tiny. Look up every other trend are that has been huge, 3g, VOIP, smartphones, Dubai etc and see how many domains around those terms have actually sold. Companies don't need names starting or ending with 3d to take advantage of the techology. They will use their existing brands in the main. I personally think these trend names have a much lower success rate than domaining in established areas, and when the "wins" happen, they aren't big.
Take 3g.com for example, it has been a park page for 12 years. The best name in that whole overspeculated niche and it still has not found a home. It has been a huge technology but that doesn't mean endusers will be falling overthemselves even for the best names. If you own the best names you have a chance and can sell them to domainers if the ship doesn't come in. If you own the dregs and are registering after every tv show on the planet has done a special on the technology (like those in this thread) you are very likely to lose money.
The usual couse of events is that the names are dropped, as a domainer why even consider developing a name that is worth nothing?
last night after visiting this forum , i checked my emails and there was an email inquiring if my 3-d/com/au was for sale ? ......which it is , let me guess you don't like the hyphen ?
Throughout this thread you will see some names i have stated make an offer , it seems these will not be long term for me , so i don't worship every name i have , but will i let them all drop on some opinions on a forum .........not likely ,i believe 3d, tv and computers/internet will merge in the future
Simple to say this is a 'anyone else regging 3d names' thread , so if people don't like or believe why be here ?
I am sure you have the option to start a 'i don't like 3d thread'
I am not going to argue on a positive thread , that's not why i am here
Picked up this one yesterday:
3 D T V N O W .com
Just received a low xxx offer on 3DRecorder.com, would you take the money and run?? Counter with high xxx, low x,xxx.....Thanks

isnt the masters a TM problem?
At least they are on the right track, registering .com instead of some obscure extension.
Separate names with a comma.
