Hello,
Had an odd situation, bought domain here a few weeks ago, and had an enquiry off the parking page asking what I was looking for, a bit off digging around showed it to be the person I bought it off.
Has anyone had a strange situation like this before? Maybe sellers remorse? Maybe he had an offer for the domain that was well above what I paid?

More than likely they just received an offer high that what you paid

Its happened to me in the past where i sold a name for $250 and got a $1200 offer about 3 weeks later

I gave the buyer the email address of the new owner (obviously check with him first)

I recently picked up a LLLL.us domain on drop (hand reg) to test parking. Not even a week went by and former owner contacted me and bought it back for $650.

I think so, its odd though not to contact me here where I bought it, and make an inquiry on a parking page with no reference to our previous dealings a couple of weeks ago, only picked it up when I cross referenced the email address given.

That is a brilliant turn around.

Some people don't think its ethical to try buy it back because you get a higher offer, so maybe he wanted to remain anonymous

Maybe the seller originally though he was selling the name to an end-user.

When he realized the name was being re-sold, he wondered " how much more than his selling price " you thought the name was actually worth in the marketplace!

why not just say that he has a client and wants his share of the sale, if that is the case? Basically be a broker.

May be it is wishful thinking - he thought it could sell for more, he needed money and ended up selling low. And he wants to see how much was the realistic pricing...

Be upfront and just ask. I encountered a situation like this a couple years ago, and just told them to be honest. Turned out they had a mid x,xxx offer after letting it drop and wanted to buy it back cheap so they could get the sale themselves. A broker or lead referral offering would be ideal, but don't be surprised if their seller's remorse is too much to overcome what objectively should be a very simple, mutually beneficial sale.
