Any value to a .com which is available in .net and .org?

I'm thinking about getting a droping .com domain that I think looks nice, but it's available to be registered in the .net and .org

Is there likely no value to it?

Hard to say. Sales of .com in the low $x,xxx range are fairly common even when the .net is available.

BUT .net being available probably means there is little interest in the .com and you'll need just the right buyer. Generally not the type of domain you dangle out there and all of the sudden it's in high demand.

I guess that you could always buy the net and org. Sometimes adding them comes in a package deal with the com and is only a couple of dollars more than just the com, and of course if going through gdad the info is free.

Ah ok...thanks guys. Snapnames got the domain but I'm in a private bid war with someone over tradeprograms.com

I'm just gonna let him have it, I think. I really don't want to pay more than $69 for it... I was even skeptical about paying that much for it

What do you guys think? Should I bid for it, or am I right in letting him have it? I've already been outbid at $74.
