I have a domain name I got back in the early days of the net.
It's a common surname, and the name of several large business and schools.
I hate to, but I need to sell it.
I've contacted one of the large companies that has made me offers in the past, but I'm unsure of how to get the best price for it.
I can do it casually, contacting organizations and accepting offers personally. Or put it on sedo (the 10% commission sounds rather steep though on something that can go over $100,000, I need every penny I can get from it), ebay? (don't know how much commission they would take). Then tell any interested parties it's available there?
How is something like this done? I don't have experience with this type of thing, so any advice/tips from a pro would be appreciated.
