Any tips for buying 4L.com domains?

The whole "bad letters" thing is bullsh*t when you're talking about reselling a 4 letter .com to an end user.
Typically there are 2 scenarios for an end user buyer:
1) The name is pronounceable
or
2) It's the acronym of their business
Bad letters work for both.
Again, this is for end user sales. Not selling random 4 letter .coms to other domainers.
HiYou might have to wait 30+ years before someone finally comes up with something and is willing to pay up. The renewal fee isn't worth the trouble
Do you think its a good idea to buy an unpronounceable name for $200 as someone with a low budget like $500?Hi
10 years from now, bad letters will be selling for $300 or more, to other domainers.
just like 20 years ago, when bad 3 letter com were selling for $300 > $500.
today such names are selling for 5 figures.
unless domains go extinct, profits can be made off newbies that will enter the game 20 years from now.
sorry newbies
imo...
Hiunpronounceable name
So I buy a bad 4L .com today for $100, pay renewal for 10 years ($150-$200) and can hope to liquidate for a $50 profit at most.....10 years from now, bad letters will be selling for $300 or more, to other domainers.
Yeah but that depends on letters. Take a look at the letter frequency chart I posted earlier. Try to get 4Ls that contain letters that appear a lot in English in order to increase the mathematical odds an end-user will want it. Good luck.Do you think its a good idea to buy an unpronounceable name for $200 as someone with a low budget like $500?

It's like they're not even an investment in the most basic sense.

Hionly to find out the moz rank was influenced by a ton of spam links.
You are rightThe thing about short domains is that they might not mean anything today, but they may become an acronym tomorrow. They're a great cash freezer for patient investors. Think of nfts.com - what did it mean ten years ago, other than a typo of NTFS? What did utxo.com mean a couple years before it sold for 20k? btcc? xrpl? ethx? It's just a handful of examples from just one industry. Multiply it by a number of innovations people unleash every year...
