Is there any time limit on how long registrars can take to investigate a possibly stolen domain?
I bought a domain through this forum. About a month later, someone else contacted me stating the domain was stolen. A couple days later the registrar said they were investigating. That was a month and a half ago. The domain is locked, and the only thing the registrar says is they are still investigating.
I don't want this to drag on so long that I can't file a claim or chargeback if the domain is stolen and I need to get my money back. The seller on this forum is very established here. But they also won't supply any information on who they got the domain from, etc.
Since it hasn't been established the domain is stolen, I'm leaving out the domain and seller information.
