Any Geeks Around Here Not Wearing Glasses?

**I don't think the word geek is defamatory, I think it's a compliment!

I don't know if I'd consider myself a geek but I'd rather sit in front of my PC than go clubbing with my friends on a Saturday night. :D 90% of my online time comprises of learning something new or reading, rather than hanging out at the social networking sites uploading pictures of myself. :D

Ok, so I think I'm a bit of a geek...

...but contrary to popular beliefs that all geeks wear glasses/spectacles, I do not. I've checked my eyes several times now and the opticians keep telling me that I'm fine.

Are there any "geek(s)" in here who also don't wear glasses?

My glasses are mad thick though... which is why I don't like to wear them. At least, in public. :P

I usually do, slight stigmatism so I get a headache if I don't if I am concentrating on something.

2 - 3 years ago I'd agree with most of your post, but a weekend wouldn't be complete without a few drinks and some silly dancing these days.

Every time I go to the eye doctor, they tell me that I'm border line. Every time I drive (almost every day), I kinda got to wonder. It takes me a while to see those street signs. But anyway, I still don't wear 'em. Maybe someday.

Used to be I could see somewhat without my glasses.. now I'd be hardpressed to exist without them. I could never read a book or magazine.

And yeah I don't even eat green vegetables and all stuff. It is just that I love drinking milk and used to drink lots of milk to save time rather then sitting on dining table and chewing food.

I am slightly shortsighted, and barely need my glasses. I wear them so rarely they feel really unnatural and I can see the frame (which is very irritating) when I wear them.

I recently started wearing glasses. I never did until a handful of months ago.

I have glasses of -1.00 in both eyes (nearsighted) but I never wear them. Too much of a bother. In fact, the only time I crack them out of the case is for either important TV, a movie, or driving to a NEW place where I need to read roadsigns.

Glasses in school? Who pays attention there?
