There are many reasons to use BIN landers but this is especially true on the most popular landers like Afternic. Imagine you are an end user that is currently looking for a domain, or maybe you went through it in the past. You filled out some price requests and you were surprised by the high price. End users don't understand each price request is a different private domain owner. They start assuming that those price request landers = high price and they just move on. BIN's on afternic will also get rid of all the bot price requests. Also, a lot of sales are impulse buys. A price request can take a while to get a reply and by then, even if it was a human, they might have lost interest or found something else. Unless you have domains that have a good reason not to price, I would suggest you use bins afternic or not, but especially on afternic. Lease option help too but that is another topic.

I agree. All my NP landers have BIN. No time wasted on either side. You see the name, you understand where I stand as a seller, and you know how much you are willing to pay as a buyer. It's up to you to buy or start negotiation, but you have an idea already.
While ''Make Offer'' (even if that might not be the case in reality), psychologically suggests that the name is so important and highly priced that you're risking both of our time to gamble. That definitely cuts away all the impulse buyers and a good chunk of those who kind of like the name but can go for alternatives too.

On the other side, I agree with the fact that ''Make Offer'' works best for ultra-premium domains - it makes perfect sense to see what companies think, check the client and choose the right strategy to negotiate.

Hi

that โ€œprice request โ€œ trend started after a personaโ€™ said they used the tactic

itโ€™s not for all domains or all domainers

I prefer bin w/make offer option at sedo

on afternic itโ€™s bin w/lto option.
regardless to settings though, sometimes their brokers will send offers anyway

imoโ€ฆ
