I noticed OWN.TV is now on auction at sedo with no mention of the $1000 annual renewal. :(

He should know better - he's a participating NP member and certainly not his first Sedo auction.

It seems that recently Sedo has become inundated with non-paying buyers and non-disclosing sellers when it comes to .tv auctions. I think Sedo needs to be a little more responsive to these issues to insure confidence in the marketplace.

We've had a lot of discussion here about a month ago on this issue when there were a number of high profile Premium names being auctioned on Sedo without disclosure of annual Premium renewal fees.

Micro, are you referring to those names, or bottom line - do you know which names in particular didn't settle?

In regards to your settlement question, I've seen this issue with both disclosed premiums and non-disclosed premiums. If a "name of interest" is up for auction, I often check the WHOIS record before the auction closes and a couple of weeks after the auction closes.

Often, you will find domains that close with a single high bid (something that seems way over market value) will have the same WHOIS data long after the auction closes. This problem also occurs (but less frequently) with domains that have multiple bids. I will refrain from listing individual examples.

As far as disclosure, it is well known that Sedo is one of the best avenues for reaching end-users. I would think that a vast majority of these end-users don't know to ask questions regarding renewal prices.

Sedo should make it obligatory to include this information in the auction description. This could be done with a simple addendum to their TOS.
