good quality domain name and nice saleContinuing the streak... sold Preserve.life today for $7,500. Purchased in Sept 2014 upon release for $154.99 with $34.99 renewal. Not too shabby!
Sold via Afternic fixed price Fast transfer. Sold, transferred and money in the account in less than 24 hours. Interestingly enough, had a $5,000 offer three weeks ago through Voodoo, where I had a lander. Countered at $7.5K, but they went silent. Listed on Afternic with fixed price and it disappearedStill have Preserving.life.
With Fast transfer, they collect the money before they even inform me that the name had been sold. So while it was less than 24-hours for me to get paid upon notice it had been sold, it may have been longer for them to collect the money before hand. Yes, I use PayPal for these transactions, as it is always quick and easy, although usually takes up to three days, imo.
Afternic has 2 networks: Standard and Premium. The premium network is the one with the options of fast transfer and limited extensions.Congrats on the sale! How did you manage to get it listed as Fast Transfer? I can't get my new gtlds listed. On the Afternic website it says:
Fast-transfer is available for com, net, biz, org, de, pw, info, co domain names that have a buy now price set. The maximum price is $100000.
It is a very universal name and very positive. I have no idea who will use it for what, but it can well happen it was bought by another domain investor, and not end user (even for this price of 7,5k). Let's see in few months if this feeling was correct, and the name is still parked or notDoes anyone know what the name is going to be used for? (at moment still goes to parking) I could see several possibilities including a group against use of animal products, anti-hunting, anti-abortion, maybe something re end of life care and decisions, etc. It is a major domain purchase, so presume it will be an organization with significant resources.
Understood. OP stated that it was fast transfer and fast transfer is not allowed on that extension. That is why I'm asking for clarification. As stated, the story seems off.Afternic has 2 networks: Standard and Premium. The premium network is the one with the options of fast transfer and limited extensions.
Now, if your domain doesn't meet the requirements for fast transfer i.e participating registrar, supported extensions etc, it will still be listed, but only on their smaller standard network where your name is only promoted via 32 registrars
