i dont get it. why would somebody pay that much money for this domain?
At all i dont get how someone is getting offers at Sedo? Do you have to have some connections to get an offer there? WHat else could comeup in mind when that kind of words are selling there?

Annuity is a big money business but $600 K ?? in overture it is only 67 for annuity.com and 114386 without ext (guide only, of course)

google 8,230,000 for "annuity"

looks like a great year for .com's

annuity.us.com is for sale at sedo for 1,400 $US (could be a good buy if you can sit on it a couple of years ??)

Hmm, as far as I know it is the seller that pays the 10% commission at sedo but the seller would not know who the buyer was to negotiate a deal without paying the 10%

Because Sedo is providing the escrow service for the transaction. Would you trust selling a high-priced domain without using an escrow service? And, I'll bet Sedo did not charge the full 10% in a case like this.

the seller does pay the commission and thats why i always add it on to my price to compensate.

i have always suspected this happens, it wouldnt suprise me at all.

Sorry, I'm getting in on this a little late but often domain owners won't reply if they're going through a broker, especially with high-level sales. They may be contractually bound. SELLER pays commission if they list site with SEDO.

I've been associated with the annuity business and it is HIGHLY profitable. 600k is a drop in the bucket.

My subdomain is getting a few views too in the last few weeks and its not listed in google yet, probably mostly domainers at this point.
