Yes, it's super annoying! Also, emails, asking if I need SEO, design or website work done. I now use different numbers for different things so if the one I used for domains is getting messaged I know it's spam.

    I don't think so.
Now that WS information is not completely hidden,
Ordinary people don't have direct access to this

Anyone else noticing an increase in cold calls, spam and outright scams originating from a certain country?

PM'd as I don't wish to name and shame an entire country online.

'Interesting' idea that you would "shame an entire country online"...?? The question here is, are you free to tell the truth/your experience or not?

That's just your individual experience, so there is not any logic in your words, sorry. :)

I dont get much spam calls or texts anymore. To end the texts, take a photo of your dick and reply to text, can you make logo of this. Those indians dont like looking at the white mans pecker lmfao
2-3 of those, the texts stop
Doubt they could make a logo that big anyways.

Whenever I received a spam call I politely ask them "Would you mind to hold?"
And put them on hold forever until they hang up. When I am in a good mood I turned on some nice music for them to listen also.

A few observations, in no particular order:

It appears that North American numbers are affected more frequently. Cheap calling destinations... For non-U.S (and non-CA) number, I mostly receive emails and no calls. The whois phone is autoresponder anyway :) Of course, registrations in .in and .us should also be one of their targets, as those extensions unfortunately do not allow whois privacy. Actually, for more traditional .com, most registrars do offer free whois privacy already, so the problem is not that big. Of course, if it is NetSol where dropped domain ended up - then there is no (free) whois privacy... so is bigrock/directi as far as I remember... The best whois privacy I found is offered by Dynadot - not only it is free and default, but they also run anti-spam filters before forwarding emails. I receive almost no emails from designers and seo if the domain was handregged with Dynadot :)

There is one country that has become synonymous with spam calls and scams. It's very 'logical' to point this out as the majority of Google searches will back up my opinion ;)

I get more than anyone as my domains are seo webmaster related. Thinking of getting a per minute phone number for my heavy breathing. If i answer that information will just be sold on as active number. I have made money out per minute billing in past not with me answering lol.
