Let's say I have a site that is geared toward network switches that Amazon sells.

If I put up an Amazon affiliate ad on my site and someone clicks on it to get to Amazon, and then they compare that to other switches on the Amazon site and find a similar switch and buy it, do I get paid for that sale, since the customer probably would not have been at the Amazon site for switches without my referral?

Short answer - Yes.

Longer answer - as long as it's another Amazon product or a qualifying third party product. There are some exclusions - see their "help" section. Visitors also need to order within 24 hours of clicking through your link, and if they leave Amazon and pick up an Amazon cookie from another affiliate it will overwrite yours and the most recent affiliate cookie will get credit for the sale.

Amazon pays referals.

The answer is yes. YOu do get paid for referalls. BUt I strongly suggest that you read the help section if not less then atleast three times. The rules are a bit tricky like the person who clicks the links needs to make a sale withing 24 hours. Also the product you put up on the site should not be banned from the list they call as exclusion.

Pls revert if you wanna go for the tricks.
