SOLVED I believe

Immediately thought the "F"arts was for "Fine" aka FineArts ( looks bad together)

well turns out

Amazon has owned https://www.whois.com/whois/amazonfinearts.com since 2006

I think maybe that's just a defensive reg for "Amazon Fine Arts".:xf.wink:

although with all the Healthy Eating Jeff Bezos has been doing lately to become "The Terminator" he is probably doing trillionaire farts right about now.

I don't blame him though. When you are the richest man in the world you better live as long as possible.

It's interesting that Amazon run their own registrar but keep their Amazon-containing domains at Markmonitor - that domain is now at Markmonitor - that article says:

In looking at the historical Whois records, it appears that AmazonFarts.com was originally registered under Whois privacy at Amazon’s domain registrar, Amazon Registrar, Inc. My guess is that Amazon caught wind of the registration, and its legal team worked with the registrant to secure the domain name. It is notable that Amazon allows registrants to register Amazon domain names at its registrar though.

Doesn't seem to be that Amazon's registrar welcomes the general public - just developers:
https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/hands-on/get-a-domain/

And here Amazon say they are looking for registrar partners:

https://www.amazonregistry.com/
We are investing in the next evolution of the Internet that will drive new customer segments to the domain space, and we are looking to partner with innovative registrars to join us on our journey. Pioneer with us to deliver unique experiences and increase your global market reach.

To start the onboarding process and become a registrar partner, please email:

Plural against Singular, what's better in this case (if it is not Fine Arts of course).
