I just called register.com so that I could transfer a domain that I registered some time ago. First off, I was told that both me and the party I am transferring the domain to must fill out a Transfer of Registrant form and fax it to them. This to say the least, was frustrating. But here is the kicker, this appears on the form:

IV. New Registrant Billing Information

Please provide the credit card information that is to be associated with the new registrant's Register.com account. Please enter all of the information below exactly as it appears on file with the credit card vendor."

The credit card specified here will be charged $200, per domain name, to complete the transfer. If you wish to change this billing information after completing the transfer, you may do so through Domain Manager (http://mydomain.register.com).

WHAT THE!!!!

Are you kidding me? Am I missing something?

Here is the link to the form.

These 2 are the only ones I can say I really trust at the moment, add in the service and security & reliability and chances are you won't be disappointed with either.
Why do you not "trust" Godaddy?
Could i get some examples please..
