Am I being scammed?

Hello, this is my story:

I sold a domain on Godaddy auctions for mid 4 figures ,it had 13 bidders and 6 of them bidded over 4000$ .The transaction was completed a bit over mid 4 figures.Unfortunately, 9 days have passed and the buyer did not send money to escrow.I contacted Joe Styler and he told me that , the buyer has a good record of paying for domain before buying mine and few others...he got banned from Godaddy auctions.

So I was going through my godaddy auctions account hoping to start a new auction.I found out that I can actually email the buyer so I did.I emailed him asking if he still wants the domain etc.It turns out he's still interested but couldn't pay as his account was banned and he has no idea why.So I emailed him asking lets do it through escrow instead ( no godaddy) but he replied that escrow has been banned by his ISP (he's from russia) and sent me a screenshot.

He wants me to create a BUY IY NOW for the same price, saying that he can still buy domains through BIN but cannot take part in an auction.

Should I trust him?Will Godaddy fully secure the payment etc?

These are some signs that you might not deal with the most respectable person, but if he only ask you to put a bin price with the price he won the auction, go with it.

Once he win, the godaddy escrow will take care further. Not much to lose on your side. He either pay after, either he gets banned and you can continue to market your domain.

I guess it's up to you whether you believe he will complete, and whether listing a BIN is a waste of your time. Doesn't seem that much to do on your end-with little effort and risk to close the sale from this point.

To change this, you need to create a payee account with your bank account and assign it to the domain you are selling.

I only see 3 options ,PayPal, Check and good as gold.

Sales over $5k at GD go via Escrow.com. They'll notify you to supply the banking details during the sales process... this is not provided before the sale.

But the buyer can't use escrow.com .

So if GoDaddy only allows the use of Escrow.com for auctions over $5K, does the winning bidder pay GoDaddy, then they transfer the funds to the seller via Escrow.com? If so then it should work.

I got to know that if it's an auction , sale over 5K $ would go through escrow but if it's a BIN only then it won't go through escrow.

I don't want to discourage you, but i've just spent 10 mins googling in RU net ant found nothing about escrow.com doesnt work in Russia.
Offer him to use Sedo escrow instead, if the BIN trick djesn't work.

Just it make sure.I don't have anything to lose right as GoDaddy will process the payment and the domain?
