I sold a domain via Afternic (and I know who to, it was someone I've already been negotiating with for weeks about the name when they contacted me a few months ago via direct whois/email, I can tell by their username (same firstname initial plus their last name was the username of buyer)) Negotiations fell through weeks ago then I guess they had a change of heart and decided to come along and click BIN
I see this notice:
In order to start the escrow process to complete the sale, we first need you to confirm that you have agreed to this sale and are able to transfer the domain when we authorize the transfer after receiving the funds from ***
Then it shows:
Unfortunately, no payments can be processed until we receive the original signed form.
Then it shows I have to download, fill out, scan, email,, snailmail or fax w9 forms (I'm in the US)
I've never dealt with Afternic before, In this stage can I just cancel or is it binding? The buyer hasn't paid yet (they're waiting for my confirmation)
Had this been Sedo the sale would've been completed already.
