Afternic questions

Hey all,

I recently sold my first domain name on Afternic and I have two questions about:

1) Could anyone here provide me an example of how to fill the tax information W-8BEN form? I filled it but was told that it is not filled correctly.
2) I accepted the offer and the status now says "Retrieving payment". It has already been couple days so I wonder, how long does it usually take?

It depends on the buyers payment method, but usually it is less than 1 week. A check might take longer.

I'm based outside of the US, and have filled out numerous W8BEN forms in the past for American companies I derive income from.

From what I recall, the form is fairly simple and quick to fill out.

You are better off asking Afternic what it is, they found wrong on your from.

Btw, the status of my transfer finally changed few minutes ago. It took them 7 days if anyone wonder how long does it usually take...

I tried to fill one out once at commission junction and the damn thing would not accept my 'electronic signature' …….. i gave up in the end, not even going to discuss the 'customer service' aspect after i told them my problem
