We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

Why have transfers all of a sudden become a pain in the butt?

I'm betting they're using a new AI Fraud Detector on transfers and there are a lot of false positives.

It's possible, however this was a less than $300 transaction.

Whatever the issue is, it has been reported to James, my Afternic and GoDaddy reps. They are aware of it.

I just want whatever is broken to get fixed.

Manual workarounds are slow and annoying.

@GoDaddy Several marketplaces are currently working on inclusion of multiple domains in a single custom checkout transaction. Is this possible already, or on the radar, at Afternic?

AtomPay implemented this just a few days after I requested it, around the same time I posted about it here in the Afternic thread.

Having the same issue. I advise people to check their .si domains landing pages if pointed to Afternic. Someone at Godaddy needs to get on top of this issue as its been going on for days now.

I asked for Afternic to just cancel the transaction if it is going to take forever, so we can complete it via another method. Either that, or let's figure out what is happening and move it along.

Reading and caring are not the same thing (as you well know). My expectations on this front are low based on my years of experience with GoDaddy.

Good. The lack of this has been a major reason I have avoided LTO on many domains.

If the buyer has more skin in the game, the LTO is more likely to complete.

Also, you are less likely to run into potential nefarious uses of the domain.

For those wondering why there are two LTO Y/N columns: GoDaddy treats them as separate settings. One controls whether the LTO option appears on the Afternic lander, the other whether it appears in the registration path via GoDaddy.

Maybe you can complete it elsewhere and deal with AN later when they cannot deliver. (Unless the buyer is scared to swipe a second time).

How about a PAYOFF BUTTON for lease payments. If I want to payoff a 12 month lease 2 months in, I need to make 10 different payments, which by the 3rd or 4th will flag my card for fraud, and then I need to deal with that.

It's at Spaceship. It should be as simple as -

Unlock > Provide AUTH > Transfer started.

That is how it normally works, not waiting 3 days to hear from an agent (if that even happens).

I could complete it in under 10 minutes via Spaceship directly, but now there is a pending Afternic transaction which I can already tell is gonna be a pain.

That is why I would rather them just cancel it, if they can't provide a prompt solution.
