By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

In my case immediately after listing, so they never appear listed.

@Future Sensors The same here. I also got the message "Successfully submitted", but then the domain did not appear in my account. I did not know why until I reached out to support. At least there should be a rejection with an explanation when submitting the name.

So a good portion of users will never catch this, so they have a parked domain pointing no where and don't even know it, wondering why they have no inquiries. If you list names like AppleTree.com etc... they get flagged

Yes. My domain is evolvore.(com). I don't see a single result for "evolvore" at LinkedIn, OpenCorporates or the USPTO trademark database, so hardly an obvisous trademark violation...

@tom365 @Embrand @Jannes Is this only happening while initially listing domains, or do they sneakily remove domains without warning later on?

The situation you mentioned can also occur, involving trademarks that will be deleted without notification. At the same time, I know the reason why adding domain names yesterday was unsuccessful. Some domain name suffixes now limit the number of times whois information can be queried, resulting in some domain names being successfully added but not actually added to the account. I added them again the next day and it was successful

I found that Afternic is no longer the same as before, and I also discovered a bug where after I successfully submitted the domain names, Afternic did not actually add them. That is to say, after you submit your domain name, Afternic displays on the page that your domain name has been successfully submitted, but in reality, the domain name has not been actually added to your account.

Afternic's customer service was not aware of this issue and asked me to change my browser, but I did not follow their advice

Come to think of it, my listing issue only affects some of my .ai domains. Repeated attempts don’t help (their system always says they’re successfully listed but they just vanish).

Anyway,

We are all talking to ourselves here, afternic has left the room, and looks to gone solely ai, given how fast they are stalling out transactions now, and how the thread has turned into a Sedo like support chat.
