Hello NamePros!
By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Please note that this thread is not meant for support. Please email our support team at [email protected] for assistance.

Bro, Recently i explained the scenario happening in such cases Lol

Well DUH! I've had weeks-long delays with nothing happening at all after an offer was made, and longer periods of inactivity, but I've yet to see this many "Email received from buyer" updates with absolutely zero input from the broker.

That's unprecedented for me, and I've been with Afternic since the early days.

why are afternic price request inquiry domains not landing on bin pages, or having their prices listed on search bar at Godaddy immediately after being priced? Seems like sellers are now at mercy for brokers to initiate convo, and buyers can’t purchase immediately upon sellers price update. If brokers do not respond for 2 days, sellers will get hurt.

What are Access Tokens ?

"List for Sale Integration Partners use these tokens to easily log in to your Afternic /com account
when listing a domain."

...and should I ' Revoke' ?
i second this question. (there's an exact same question unanswered in 2024) besides, are there any password recovering mechanisms in afternic if you lose your 2FA device? like some recovery codes somewhere?

James hasn't replied here in a while. I also sent him a private message a couple weeks ago that went unanswered. Anyone know what is going on?

For me, the most distressing thing recently is not just the failure to close any deals, but the frequent harassment from AF agents with quotes of $3,000, $5,000, or $8,000! My fixed price quote is clearly stated, and the minimum price is also clearly stated at tens of thousands of dollars. Why do they still send me these useless inquiry messages

Because domain hobos and lowballers are calling Afternic direct by phone and for some crazy reason, the Afternic phone reps are dutifully entering these lowballs and noballs in as valid offers.

It's a huge gap in the system that more and more idiots seem to be figuring out and using, and I regularly get $0 offers when all of my domains have a minimum offer limit.

It would be great if also Afternic brokers were just as responsive. When a buyer makes an offer and doesn't hear back for 37 hours, that's not exactly the correct way for closing deals.

Did Afternic fire half their brokers or is everyone on vacation?

I posted earlier about a buyer who contacted Afternic multiple times about an open negotiation and received no response (then contacted me via WHOIS), and I have also not received any response from my subsequent inquiries either.

On another one, I responded multiple times to an offer earlier in the week, and now it's the weekend with zero reply from the broker.

Offers are being posted to my account and then NOTHING is happening and there is no broker activity at all (just the original offer), even though myself and buyers are responding back.

Somehow I think this is costing me sales.

I forget if I asked this before. Any reason you're not using self brokering? Even just as an experiment to rule in/out the impact of these slow brokers on sales.

It's gone from bad to worst.

I'd be ecstatic with a 37-hour response time - I've got several here that were initiated on June 2-3 with zero broker activity since the original offer was posted.

It's like some of these brokers have literally disappeared. Others respond, but there is a set of broker names that seem to be MIA, which is why I'm wondering if GD did a purge.

Because a) it's behind a paywall, and b) it's not automated and many functions still require broker intervention.

Maybe godaddy in general facing financial issues and fired lots of employees as a cutting cost !!?
I said maybe..

The paywall part is true but the latter part is not. Self-brokering is owned by you, i.e: a user submits the form and you are immediately notified and can counter their offer, send messages etc.

I heard that if you accept an offer, it's not automated and doesn't generate an invoice/payment link and allow the buyer to pay immediately. But they may have added that feature recently.

Wow, Afternic is really turning into a fake listing nightmare.

I just uploaded 48 domains and 12 of them were already listed - that's one in four. I always get conflicts, but the numbers seem to grow each time I list. It used to be 2-3 per upload, then 4-5. then 7-8, and now it's gone into double digits.

Freaking scammers are killing the world.

Edit: I just loaded the next 48 domains to Afternic (max number is 50 and I like to stay just under the max) and the 'already-listed' conflicts totaled 14 this time, or about 30%. This is absolutely nuts.

It's a total joke. I know this been brought a few times and the fact that nothing has changed leads me to believe that it's by design as in designed to fail sellers.

Has anyone sold a dynadot domain via fast transfer recently? I sold one nearly 12 hours ago and so far it has not left my dynadot account.
