Hello NamePros!
By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Please note that this thread is not meant for support. Please email our support team at [email protected] for assistance.

@Skyvisum Which part is 'No'?
It is not safe for everyone to accept those FT .Someone else might list your names while you get the email to accept without knowing the price it is listed for (That is the "NO" part ).Make sure it is listed in your account ,with the price you want before accepting any incoming FT email.

I received a couple emails yesterday and I know for a fact, I didnt list those names there 😉.

As for exposure, it is just partnership and agreement afternic entered with other networks to help display your domains when a buyer searches for your names on their sites.(Atleast to my understanding)

I dont trust a company that penalizes a seller for not using their nameservers.It is your assets and they have no right to do that but a lot of people are robots so they are controlled .We are adults and can make our personal decisions .

So many options to sell your domains out there .

N.B :This is not a financial advice. 😀.Always do your own research.

Ok, many thanks (for not giving any financial advice :xf.laugh:).

I am completely unable to pay off a lease to own (LTO) purchase early. I click "manage lease" or "make payment" and it takes me in circles to the general MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION and MANAGE RENEWAL pages. But there is no way to pay off anything early. Are buyers not able to pay off early ?? I've tried multiple browsers and get the same result. Anyone else experience this?

That's certainly not how it worked when for me when I had LTO paid out early at Dan.
Irrelevant now though, since just because something worked at Dan, most definitely does not mean it will work at AN.

I just saw a new Afternic blog post in my RSS feed.

Unfortunately, Afternic is still unable to fix the 400 Bad Request error, even after my suggestions one month ago.

We’re reviewing the 400 error. In the meantime, opening the link in an incognito or private window should load it normally. Clearing cookies for afternic.com also resolves it for most users.

Appreciate the callout and the earlier suggestions.

Hello @GoDaddy

I have all my domains listed at Afternic with
BIN + Make Offer + LTO

Minimum offer is on Default 100$ or set at various prices based on quality
( mostly 500$ , 1000$ , very few at 5000$)

Yet on Godaddy search Path the majority of my domains are at BIN , with a minimum offer set at 75% of BIN price.
Not only that , when i try to make an offer on one of my domains , i’m redirected to the BIN or LTO option only.

Why?
It sounds like you’re seeing the domain via GoDaddy Auctions, not the standard GoDaddy search path. Auctions and search (Afternic sales) are now fully separated.

On the GoDaddy search path, if a BIN is set, BIN (and LTO if enabled) will display. Make Offer only shows when no BIN is set

If you’d like, feel free to DM an example domain and we can take a closer look.

noticed by chance the folio link for public not working.

only show 10 featured names

if u use it... well... stop.
Feel free to DM us an example. In most cases this comes down to individual portfolio or display settings, and we haven’t been able to reproduce it on our side yet.

I'm using
ns1.afternic.com, ns2.afternic.com

The homepage says I'm not using GD nameservers.
The indicator column can take up to 24 hours to reflect nameserver changes. You can also use the new refresh button to push an update manually. This is only a visual indicator and doesn’t affect discount eligibility, which is verified at the time of sale.

@GoDaddy
Yes, buyers can pay off a Lease to Own early.

Please reach out to GoDaddy support via chat, and feel free to DM us as well so we can stay in the loop and help follow up if needed.

But only one installment payment at a time, which is not very user (or accounting) friendly.

EDIT: After troubleshooting more it's not browser related, it works like 1/5th the time so I'll just deal with it, thanks.

@GoDaddy,

Hi James, hope you are doing well.

For many years, up until this November, if the minimum offer exceeded the numbers in this useless and unnecessary column "Why it's great", GoDaddy didn't show those numbers (same as with estimated value).

Could you please bring it back to how it was? I see that you fixed the issue with estimated value (when the min offer is higher), but this column "Why it's great" is still there. Please fix it.

@GoDaddy,

Another examples. Not my domains.

I already undestand that nobody is going to change anything, but could you please explain to all of us, how the buers are supposed ti make a minimum offers when they see this crap on the right?

I really feel sorry for the sellers of these domains, and thousands and thousands of similar ones, because they don't even check GD reg path and aren't even aware that GoDaddy is shooting both itself and them in the foot.

@Afternic @GoDaddy -- Just did a check on a name using the 'For Sale Make Offer' lander. Just wondering the below is normal? All 5 categories got a red X and the score is underneath.

Strict-Transport-Security
Content-Security-Policy
Content-Type-Options
Frame-Options
Referrer-Policy

Score: 58/100

(btw, all names I checked parked in this manner showed the same.)

Haven't been able to access afternic.com for a couple days now...
I haven't been able to sign in all this month.
They insist on sending a code to my old phone number which I updated about 6 weeks ago.
Apparently the only 'remedy' is for me to trust them with a copy of my passport. No thanks.

I've asked AN to just delete the account.
They have no problem with that and advise me to fill in their delete request form by
signing in to my account and .........................:banghead:

Has anyone found a way around this as it seems they can't/won't ask me questions relating to
what's in the account.

Your full identity is almost assuredly on the dark web already.

No, I expected them to ask me questions that only someone with access to the account would know.
Like PayPal's security questions.

My user name & PW are accepted, then it asks to confirm a code they want to send to an old phone number.

ok maybe I missed something
but if u seem equally good with closing it as getting in... then why u bother with either?
