Hello NamePros!
By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Please note that this thread is not meant for support. Please email our support team at [email protected] for assistance.

And only domains from 'boosted' accounts appear in the aftermarket section :xf.frown:

My offers are Afternic have dropped to zero in May and it's pretty obvious that GD is just using our domain traffic to build their own customer base. GD has already stated to their investors that retail domain sales are not a core business, while expired domains are, so it's not like this is a secret.

I've said this before, but relying on a "company that features retail/3rd-party domains sales only as a sideline business" as your primary domain marketplace can be very risky, as opposed to other venues (Atom, Dan, Sedo, DomainEasy, Saw, etc.) that only exist(ed) to sell our domains.

A company's 'core business' always gets the most attention and promotion and will never be hidden or shunted to the side in favor of something else.

@GoDaddy Once a domain is sold and payment is scheduled, the domain completely disappears from the "Sold" overview, and in fact from all overviews in the dashboard; it cannot be found anywhere. This happens from the moment payment is scheduled, and even if payment has already been received via PayPal, it's still not visible. I know it will become visible again at some point, but please look into this, so that a sold domain never disappears from the [Sold] overview. Thanks.

I know this has been discussed before. But has Afternic given a response on this : Why do we think that if the seller knows the ballpark budget of the buyer, it may be detrimental ?

@GoDaddy

Itโ€™s been a month since I sold my domain on Afternic, but I still havenโ€™t received the payment. Whatโ€™s been most frustrating is the lack of updates or any resolution so far. Just please return my domain.
@GoDaddy I still havenโ€™t received the payment for my sold domain. Zero updates or progress.

I don't think anyone cares anymore. I have most sub $5k names on Afternic BIN lander.

Had only high value names on Request Price lander. Now I have to figure out a different lander for higher value names.

@GoDaddy please return my domain. I am left with nothing. No payment, no domain.

stalled

As if we weren't getting enough stalls, "AI" is auto stalling leads.

This was from a BIN only lander as well, so no idea how the inquiry was made.

I agree 100%. Not to mention the barrage of revived dead/stalled inquiries, months laterโ€”even when the buyer indicated that their budget was not that high!

I enabled boost again because May is a slower month and my domains are not even in the aftermarket section. 0 sales with 1K names. Turning it back off, it's a joke.

Nothing comes up when I log into my Afternic account. Everything is blank. Is this happening to anyone else?
