Hello NamePros!
By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Please note that this thread is not meant for support. Please email our support team at [email protected] for assistance.

So, they are improving.
All this is thanks to the dedicated multidisciplinary team that has been tirelessly working on this for months.

Somehow, mom and pop shops with a couple employees have 10x faster cart speeds than a company worth tens of billions.

Make it make sense.

@GoDaddy
It's a fight adding domains everyday, it seems when using the CSV upload, ownership is not tested and domains are not added if they are in conflict, even with ownership dns added. Please solve this, you enforce us to use your dns with the penalty, buyers cannot see domains even thrugh landers if we use your dns and not able to list them all.

I think that this is the case, indeed.

Big differences , for example I submit 100 domains, maybe 30 are not listed,
then I submit them using the form, I see that there is ownership conflict, i click the button to test ownership, then I'm able to list them.
So, something's wrong...

Exactly.

@GoDaddy Please fix as follows:
  1. CSV upload should check TXT/NS verification immediately, and (really) add all domains having successful verification records.
  2. CSV upload_results should not say 'ADD_PROCESSED' for domains that were not added. That's misleading.

@GoDaddy This just happened again with another batch of 11 .com domains. All domains got the 'ADD_PROCESSED' status in the upload_results csv, but one of them wasn't added to portfolio. All these domains had the same, working TXT verification records. Again, I had to manually verify and add this single domain to portfolio.

The 'ADD_PROCESSED' notification is not reliable.
Hi @Future Sensors,
We'll pass this along to the Afternic team for investigation. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. If possible, it would be really helpful to have a list of the 11 domain names you tried to upload (including that one that failed, of course).

Is there a way to check the traffic to our domains on Afternic? As in each view, where that view came from?

Assuming when we have the DNS on Godaddy listed Afternic and domain listed on AN.
Hi @End Game,
Like many on-site marketplace stats, Afternic provides an overview of visitors rather than detailed specifics.

Thanks, @davidc1! We'll pass this feedback about the CSV upload to the Afternic team and connect with your account rep as well.

Hi @GoDaddy ,

Like some other marketplaces, Dan.com featured an integration with Google Analytics. Afternic would not need to provide the detailed specifics, just allow the GA-4 integration. It would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Had 2 domains sold a week or so ago, immediately provided auth. codes and they have been stuck in the process. Usually, based on my experience with Afternic, the moment you provide the code domains get transferred in next 24 hours but it's been a week. At the stage of the process, once domain is sold and AN asks for the code - did the buyer already transfer money? My fear is that they are issues with the money transfer and I am scared of the sale getting canceled. Any experiences?

Procedurally, I think Afternic would only ask for the AUTH codes after they already received/verified payment from the buyer. But I guess it's possible there was a hiccup after they received payment. But for 2 different transactions? Maybe it's the same buyer?

could be, but domains are not related and weren't bought on the same day - however, both are .ai - which may have something to do with it knowing the transition to Identity Digital

I had this happen a few times lately.

Normally, the transfer will start when you provide the AUTH code.

However, at least twice that did not happen and I had to contact support to escalate it.

In both of those cases GoDaddy just had me eventually push the domain to them.

I don't think the issue is related to payment.

GoDaddy's standard support is not that good in my opinion. You have to escalate issues to get anywhere. Even then, it takes too long.

This was part of the issue with my first @GoDaddy checkout link experience -

https://www.namepros.com/threads/my...e-with-afternic-custom-checkout-link.1339238/

When I provided the AUTH code, nothing happened. That was for a .org.

I can also remember it happening with a .com and .us.
