@GoDaddy
How is progress on the Self-Brokerage System update going? Is there a new ETA for its release?
At the ICA meeting, we confirmed that self-brokerage is in "dark launch" which refers to the internal testing stage before opening it to a wider audience.
I bought a domain over a month ago that was listed on Afternic. It was never delivered and the order was cancelled. Now the domain is listed again at the same price.
If the buyer isn't going to deliver the domain, why is the listing active again?
@GoDaddy.
Brad
Hi
@bmugford,
Could you DM us the domain? We'd like to investigate.
Jan 2025 suddenly see a big rise in sales from Afternic.... Is something happening at Afternic or just the market is warming up in 2025? Thanks
It's great to hear that January has brought you plenty of sales! Here's to an even better February
@GoDaddy
It would be nice that in case of : Lease to Own transaction cancelled
you change name servers to ns1.afternic.com ns2.afternic.com automatically.
And please extend this cookie, i have to login 5000+ times per year.
Thanks
@davidc1! There might be some automation we can implement for nameservers, and we'll touch base with the team to explore the possibilities.
As for the cookie, we've definitely heard similar feedback from sellers. You're prompted to log in regularly when performing key actions. We're in discussions with the team to see if we can make adjustments.
Yesterday, I received an email from Afternic Transaction Assurance, stating that the Buyer decided that they would like to receive the domain via Porkbun. The new instruction was to push the domain to Afternic's Porkbun holding account. However, the Afternic Dashboard still indicates that I need to provide the AUTH code, without reflecting the updated instruction.
While I trust the legitimacy of this email, it would enhance trust and security if this updated instruction also appeared in the Afternic Dashboard.
Thanks for the feedback,
@Future Sensors. There are some big updates coming soon that will take care of this!
Two names that I added today needed verification. I used the verification NS as NS3. They seemingly added with the verification used. I can see both names in my Afternic account as "Listed," not "In Review" or "Pending Sync."
I happened to check one of the names on GoDaddy. It shows as a live premium listing but the price is from someone else. The second name that needed verification shows as unavailable. Two other names that I added today that did not need verification are also unavailable via GoDaddy search.
All four names show as available at the correct price at Dynadot. Those could be via Sedo, though, as I've listed with both Afternic and Sedo.
The names are registered at GoDaddy and were listed via Afternic.
Hi
@Garet,
Could you let us know which domain names these are? Either in the thread, or via DM. This will help our team pinpoint what's going on there.
Recently got hit by a 25% fee due to the fact domain expired and wasn't pointing to one of the reducend commission DNS. The domain was held at GD and was pointing to GD via ns .domainconrol . com dns though
@GoDaddy would you like to add ns . domaincontrol.com as reduced commission DNS when pointing to GD?
Hi
@zomainhacks,
Congrats on selling your expired domain name! As for your question, we currently don't have plans to make adjustments to include additional commission-discounted nameservers beyond those we already support.
Why does adding a BIN send a name to review?
Hi
@silentg
The most likely reasons, along with solutions, are detailed here:
https://blog.afternic.com/pending-review/. Often, registrar or registrant adjustments can remove the domain from Fast Transfer, which is the most common cause for domains entering review. Fortunately, our new tool can process pending review domains quickly.
