Friday morning: "Your funds ($5K+) are on the way"

Following Thursday: Crickets chirping. Funds? Nyet.

Fingers tapping. Mind wondering: I pay a commission, well beyond Escrow.com's fee (if any, to me), and for the added cost, I get to "be a good boy and wait patiently"? OTOH, Escrow.com gets the funds delivered via ACH in a day or two. Worked well for ~20 years.

This is how things and relationships start to break down and fall apart.

Whomever or where ever the friction and drag on payment is originating from, mind this: AI is coming for your job. Do not be a source of friction. EOM
Alrighty. Time to eat a bit of HUMBLE PIE and apologize to the TA team. The funds were timely delivered and, for reasons I don't understand or can't explain. yours' truly failed to see the line item. Possibly a brain fart attributable to a near simultaneous ~$5K in and ~$5k transfer out situation so the numbers in the account didn't move, leading my addled brain to . . . be addled. My bad. Shame on me. They actually did a spot on job in TA . . as usual. Argh....shrinks in stature and crawls away . . . Of course, when I went off the intelligence rails and issued my "Where's the money . . . " email as simple "Hey, silly . . . " reply might have saved me from myself . . ya know? :p
Oh, drat, there's no escaping it. It's all on me. Argh.

I'm still having random names disappear from my Afternic account.

A random check this morning found 5 names that disappeared.

No notice. No email. Nothing to let me know other than me noticing my totals names number looking odd.

The fact this most basic level of portfolio management does not work properly is insane.
It's 2025 and Afternic still Afternicking.

What is extremely concerning is that if these are fast transfer names the sale will be credited to the account that imported the names and taken from my registrar account without me having any idea until my next audit.

Knocking on heaven's door... Brokers not only do not respond now but they aren't even closing the cold-frozen leads.
@GoDaddy Can someone look into it? Last action taken on Jan 5. Broker just keeps ignoring me. How do I even know what's going on behind the scenes?

I sold a name 3 days ago from Afternic. Sent them the authorization code. Sent 3 messages asking why they did not start the transfer? NO Anwer

I have a name in a "hold status" since December last years. Sent them 3 messages asking them what's the status? NO Answer.

Talked to my sales rep from Godaddy and he said the one is on hold is already SOLD and they get the money but they did not do anything - Godaddy sent them an email asking why? Again NO answer.

The faster you close the deal the more money you will get from the commission - Unless you don't need money?

@GoDaddy ???

If Afternic ignores email from Godaddy then how do they communicate to each other?
Btw, another day with no answer.

In both of these cases, it looks like GD already has all of the money.

Hi @Kyle Tully,
That's certainly concerning. Can you DM us with those 5 domains, and we'll connect with the Afternic team.

Hi @Blueleaf66,
Yes. Please DM us your Afternic username and we'll raise this example with the brokerage team.

Hi @johnn,
Thanks for the heads up. Afternic's live chat team at afternic.com/contact can assist you with the auth code. Just select "Sales Transaction Status" under "Request Type" to connect with them directly.

Could you also DM us the domain name that's on hold and your GoDaddy rep's name? We're happy to connect.

The name was On Hold changed to Sold Status.
Afternic still not start the transfer. I already submitted the authorization codes for both names. I have been doing this for 2,000 times so I know how the code works.
My question is what is the delay to start the transfer?

Suddenly 1300+ domain names which were listed earlier with Fast Transfer, have gone into "In Review" status.

@GoDaddy

I have a domain that was sold on 27th December the domain was transferred away from my Dynadot account on same day with Fast Transfer.

But I was surprised that Afternic wants Auth code for the domain, I told them that the domain has already been transferred, and I provided screenshots. Afternic Transaction Assurance team replied back and said that they want to check with the buyer to confirm receiving the domain.

Last time I heard from Afternic's support was on 31st of December and since then they ignored all my emails, and completely stopped replying.. they are just silent about it!!

The domain is not in my possession since 18 days ago, so either give me my money or return my domain back!!

Nothing happened. The 2 names are still Sold status and no one care to start the transfer so I can receive my money?

Would it be illegal if Afternic delay the transfer and payout in order to put the money in some type of saving account to get more money from interest?

Hi, If I sell a domain through Afternic, will the money be credited to my Afternic account and I can withdraw the money myself at a time and amount convenient for me, or after the sale, will the money be automatically sent to my bank account? Thanks!

Your bank or your paypal - Your call. If the amount is large then they will transfer to the bank as there is a limit for Paypal transfer.

Afternic keeps "losing" the connection to my GD account. Instead of showing listed prices, now all names show "list for sale". When I add names there, it asks for login, adds the names and ... forgets the credentials the next time you go to the GD page.

On top of that, I started getting the white checkout pages again.

Another one: trying to get rid of "pending review" names, I copied them, deleted and readded. Only about 12 of those caused huge problems for Afternic. It couldn't verify the NS, albeit all had the unique NS, clicking the verify link was resulting in just 4 showing as successfully verified, but even those weren't being added etc. So had to add all of those in batches of 1-2 names.

As pretty much all of GD/AN issues, they are all consequence of a) limited server/cloud capacity for the required amount; b) set hard limits on connections beyond which you either get blank page, or error, or permanent wheel, or a default value from DB (e.g. Singapore for location); c) for what they are actually doing, GD/AN code is too "heavy" and requires to much resources, hence creating the issues in a) and b).

When the issues like these become more frequent, it basically means that the sales are due to go down as well, because, again, how the sales pages and shopping carts act are also dependent on it.

And, of course, the GD search algorithm is getting dumber by the day. Someone is "experimenting" but in a very weird way.

Here is its best recommendation for the search:
