By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

When you receive offers for your domains do you receive emails from Afternic?

Usually, but not always. And sometimes I get 2 emails and others I get only 1.

I think the whole system is overloaded, the brokers are overloaded, so everything is just floating around like a turd in a public toilet.

The indirect signs are there showing that Afternic/GD is far from stabilizing from the latest technical issues.

The issues I have faced in past few hours:

- empty checkout page
- adding names to Afternic via GD resulted in all 3 going into pending sync, whatever that means (it will be stuck in that status indefinitely unless manually pushed over).
- GD control panel requires password every time, even if your last login was 5 minutes ago.
- Afternic panel shows other sync/loading issues, like switching in leads from "in progress" to "all" doesn't change the page unless you hit refresh (not every time).

I am just baffled why these simple technical issues are not resolved. Max it should have taken with a normal project manager, QA/QC specialist and qualified IT team should have been 24 hours.

I have the same issue for the last 2-3 hours. All added domains (about 70-80) go to "Pending Sync". This is another bug in the system. I have now removed these names and will try to add them later. And I wouldn't be surprised if everything works fine in a few hours.

@Recons.Com Since you have a very large portfolio; have you noticed any decrease in Afternic sales since the launch of Boost?

Not since the launch of boost, but since about last 1/3 of October and throughout all of November the sales are down by about 50%. I believe it is the result of GD/AN bugs/issues, plus their focus on pushing .ai and other names that give them higher renewal margins. Of course, in 2-3 years they will discover that the retention rates on those names are nowhere near .com and other legacy gtlds, but GD doesn't nowadays doesn't think that far.

The problem is they cannot be verified even after adding the AN name server?

Anyone having luck getting a GoDaddy domain to show up on Afternic account. I keep trying to verify and it won't let me. Successfully listed at Dynadot, Sedo, and Atom in minutes.

The other weird thing is that if you change your NS to ns1.afternic.com ns2.afternic.com you can't manage your own DNS anymore.

The problem is they cannot be verified even after adding the AN name server.

Yea, i try some to trigger FT, and now can't add it back. Verified but cant listed.

Some of my names won't verify even though I've added the TXT records. Can't even add them through Dyna account. Why do I have to verify I own a name when I'm adding it through the registrar account it's registered in?

Whenever Afternic sends me a Customer Satisfaction survey, the email message says: "We'd love to hear your feedback." But when I click on the link to honestly fill out the survey, it always says this:

Some registrars will persist records and make them editable (even if they do squat) instead of hiding them completely like GoDaddy.

The issue seems to be some weirdness with Afternic nameservers. It's Pending Sync now.

Afternic seems to have a verification issue when adding conflicting domains, and verifying them with nameservers, it simply cannot add them once verified, tried numerous times, no way around it sadly.

I get all of mine in without issue. Do you have the 3rd verification nameserver listed? Once in a while the change doesn't propagate fast enough and I have to resubmit the domain to afternic and then it goes through.

Sedo is the pain for me. I get almost no response from my listings there and it more time to get the listing live.

It's really displeasing when your domains are pushed into Review.
When you mail them they reply "your domain failed one of the integrity checks. We will review again".
Next day you get a mail saying "Our compliance team has approved your domain".
You submit your answer sheet for re-checking. And they find there was a mistake in totaling.

it's an obvious bug when names go randomly into reviews without us touching them. a bug around for many years which means they will never fix it. probably by now it's so ddeeply into their code that they would need to rewrite half of afternic to fix it.

the real sad part is they wont admit it's a bug and pump people bullshit excuses like we is dumb

There's something going on with Afternic these days. I sold a domain last Thursday, I provided the auth code, and I haven't heard anything from them since then. The status of the sale is Transfer Pending, but I haven't even received the usual transfer away email yet, so I guess the transfer hasn't been initiated. I sent a message to the TA agent 2-3 days ago, no reply yet. I'm not even sure that message went through...

Now it's 12 days since someone purchased my name and I provided the auth code, and nothing has happened since then. Usually I receive the payment from Afternic latest the next day... I'm not sure what the domain buyer is thinking at the moment, maybe he/she'll just say 'fuck this shit' and cancel the sale. Very professional, this is how a market-leading company should operate, right? :D By the way, is there anyone who would like to start a new Dan.com? If yes, please promise me you won't sell your business to Godaddy...

Whose issue is "Pending sync"? Afternic.

Whose issue is it, if "Pending sync" takes longer than a day? Afternic.

But who should contact support? Me!

Why can't you have a simple system, which takes list of all domains in Afternic "pending sync" status after a day and resolve them automatically? Why do you want hundreds of domainers to take their time for your issue?

I had the same issue trying to add a couple of names. This morning they were able to move further and allow me to set pricing and add the names, but one is "Pending Sync" and the other is "In Review"

What is the Pending Sync doing? Both names are in my GoDaddy Account -- can't your system verify or sync a name that is in the account owners GoDaddy account?

I am experiencing a similar issue. I sent an email to the Transaction Assurance team six days ago, but have yet to receive a response. It is imperative that they maintain adequate support for transaction assurance, particularly when automated processes are insufficient. I have escalated this issue to my AF representative to expedite resolution. However, I am concerned about individuals who do not have access to such features.

I appear to be having the same issue I had with the transfer part of my Afternic checkout link sale.

Domain sold. I unlocked and provided the AUTH code days ago and nothing happened.

The registry just shows it unlocked. The domain is still in my account.

This time I am not going to make any effort to intervene and move it along. We can see how long it takes.
