By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Somehow I wouldn't be surprised if it were an Afternic issue, rather than Dynadot. In fact that seems likely.
Yeah. I later realized Afternic partners may not contractually free to talk about this. So it will mainly depend on more openness from our TOS partner GoDaddy/Afternic, supplemented with our own findings and hypotheses in various settings.

I need to update pricing on 15 names. One at a time feels slow and labor intensive. A full CSV upload is overkill. At Sedo, I can search for all 15 and quickly make the change. In fact, that has been available there for years.

A bulk search would boost productivity and save time but I appreciate that it might overload GoDaddy's architecture to make it widely available. I also appreciate that my time has no value to GoDaddy. Nothing should be done that negatively impacts GoDaddy and Afternic's existing reliable, trustworthy, and glitch-free platform.

One at a time it is.

@Synozeer I can confirm that it shows that error after clicking the Get It button.
@Synozeer Some additional info on your domain name, it's showing with the FT sign on PB (Afternic partner), and I'm able to add the domain to the cart successfully.

Yes, they were able to fix that one. Still had issues with the rest of my names, but making some progress. I think it's a combination of something going wrong on Dynadot (they said they are working on a fix) and Afternic with its usual bugs.

Afternic support doesn't even know the basics of domain names. They just replied to my multiple email support ticket telling me the reason why fast transfer isn't active on my domains is because they are registry locked, since it shows the status "clientTransferProhibited". I had to explain to them that's just a registrar lock you can toggle on and off of a domain., and I have other names with the exact same status that are FT active. In addition, I had to explain again that the domains I'm referring to are already FT active, it's just the status in Afternic that's wrong.

I don't know how much longer I can deal with the bottom barrel support responses I'm getting. Every response ignores all the information from the previous emails and I have to explain everything again and again.

@GoDaddy Kindly assign your best people to solve these issues. Even if that means working overtime.

Why does @Afternic take $.90 out of every ACH transfer sent to us after selling a name?

ACH doesn't have fees like visa/mc or paypal does it?

i don't think so, but you'd think a ~20% commission could afford to eat $.90 as a cost of doing business! What's next? A costshare fee for the servers, electricity etc?

Why stop at cost-sharing fees? Letโ€™s just adopt a developer! Weโ€™ll provide them with unlimited coffee, a cozy bean bag, and a lifetime supply of pizza. In return, theyโ€™ll fix all the issues on the Afternic platform, and maybe even throw in a few extra features for good measure. Who needs commission fees when you have a happy, well-fed developer on your team?

Found out today that none of my Dynadot domains have FT status. Even though Afternic says it's active F/T. Here we go again. Explains a drop in sales. Guess I will call GD and hear that annoying music again.

Welcome to the club. Just be sure to send Dynanot an email about it. They said they are working on it, but the more people that have the issue the faster it will hopefully get done.

On the GoDaddy side, ask them to rerun integrity checks for all your domains. That will send out FT emails and you'll be able to activate them on Dynadot again. However, in Afternic your names will show opt-in required, even though your names are Fast Transfer activated. I've been back and forth with their support trying to get it fixed, but I have a feeling it's something Dynadot needs to do on their end to fix that issue too.

@GoDaddy did the issue with Afternic e-mails ending up in buyer's spam resolved?

I think someone mentioned this. Check your names listed at Dynadot.
Having to to delete and readd them. Frustrating
