Hello NamePros!
By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Please note that this thread is not meant for support. Please email our support team at [email protected] for assistance.

Yes, I keep checking names and I find that anything pointed to Afternic landers will NOT be visible to Verizon users -- phone or internet -- and is also invisible to internet isps in at least one other country as well. I discovered this from someone in S. America, we were testing it out.

The domains I point to Sedo or Atom are of course have working landers, visible using any isp.

But Afternic is not listening.

The 51 names I mentioned that don't work with Afternic (but work fine anywhere else) are not due to a Verizon issue.

I just don't understand it,

Me either. I really like the broker...he has handled a few negotiations for me well in the past.

This is the last message:
Status updated to Negotiations Stalled
2025-09xxxxxxx
The buyer has been or become unresponsive

Negotiations had been completed...a price was agreed upon. Payment was never made. If they ever come back around, it will cost them 5K more.

Agreed and while Afternic brokers have always been slow, the recent response times have been absolutely glacial.

I'm on day 3 of a 5k offer without the broker contacting me

I'm not sure how to explain this, but I noticed that this issue only happens with domains that previously used Spaceship nameservers. Yesterday and today I changed the nameservers of some other domains from Sedo and Dynadot to Afternic, and everything is already working fine. But the domains that were pointed to Spaceship, after switching them to Afternic, didn't work and I switched them back to Spaceship after 5 days...
The domains registered with Dynadot, Porkbun, Namecheap, Sav, GD.

Edit: Nvm. I think I misunderstood what you were saying

@GoDaddy @Afternic

I received 5 emails from Afternic today asking me to approve names for FT. However, I do not own most of these names. They were dropped years ago. A new buyer either drop regged them or got them out of GD auctions years ago - and relisted them. yet I am getting the FT email. A bug that needs fixing.

A second bug is that one of the names I do own. And it's listed and FT active in my Afternic account. Yet the email shows it newly listed and the price is 1/5 of what I've listed it for.

Confused - please explain

I assume was a BIN (and no fast transfer) Sale.
When no broker interferes, my BIN sales have same timeframe as you described, is big improvement.
Problem seems to be at Make offer negotiations as most agents are late to communicate with potential buyers.
Strangely when fast transfer is enabled, payment is days later, while BIN without FT is same or next day.

Nope. Negotiated FT.

Good luck!

After 30 min on a chat, Afternic said "This case requires further investigation from us, as such we will have it escalated and we will follow-up once we have more information".

I received 15 of those same Afternic opt ins from the same email address. All of them appear to be for names that I did own but have sold or dropped.

EDIT to add: It looks like all of them are currently registered at Dynadot.

The bulk for me were sold or dropped - but 4 of them I still own. Afternic CS isn't sure what is going on.

I just don't want to lose my names to some FT scam

If you click the 4 you still own, you can at least see if FT is On/Off. As long as it is OFF, that can help prevent any potential scam with those 4 names.

Thanks for flagging this. The email was sent from our test environment, and our team is reviewing to ensure it doesnโ€™t happen again.

Check your Afternic landers. Multiple domains not loading or loading extremely slow on both mobile and desktop. Removing and readding domains to Afternic does not solve the issue. This will certainly affect sales for many of us going forward.

I checked a few yesterday and they were just hanging before loading to 404. Not good at all.

@GoDaddy -

Do they realize this just f'd up the Fast Transfer sync for every domain that was already Fast Transfer active?

Yesterday and the day before, I pointed the nameservers to Afternic again, hoping the issue was already resolved, but nothing works. Now I'm switching everything back to Spaceship and have to "unlist" all domains on Afternic again. Since I'm not going to pay 25% for nothing. It's a pity. I hadn't used Afternic for half a year, but decided to return because autumn is here, and GD reg path matters now.

Well Iโ€™ll be damned. I have 3 computers in different networks and my personal cell phone and wasnโ€™t seeing any issues with landers except for about 5 that were on BIN landers not resolving.

I just tested my work phone which is on Verizon and sure enough not a single lander loads across my 1k+ portfolio.

This is a huge issue

FT is on for those 4 names. Not sure how to turn it off (just for those 4). Although I'm somewhat less concerned now that @GoDaddy responded and said it was an internal mistake.

One question GD - Dynadot is now asking me to approve FT for the names I own. yet they already show as approved FT (On) in Afternic. Should I accept/approve again at Dyna?
