By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Afternic has typically accounted for 90%+ of my sales, but the past few months it's been almost crickets. I noticed typing in the sld alone without an extension always showed "example" and a bunch of irrelevant tlds, and never my domains anymore like in the past.

So I listed s.ventures and now if I search sventures or s ventures it's nowhere to be found. Only if I type in s.ventures exactly does it show up.

How are people supposed to know there are names available if GoDaddy is not showing them!? I've been growing more and more frustrated with GD/Afternic, and the lack of recent interest in my domains has been adding fuel to the fire. But now, still not having my names shown when I follow your outline with random TLDs, I'm at the end of my rope.

What the hell are you doing @Afternic @GoDaddy ?! The searcher, seller and broker are all losing this way. Seriously, what is it going to take for you to give a damn about customer/seller satisfaction? It's infuriating and exhausting.

Unfortunately they changed the algorithm to show results of available random alternative .com for hand reg. or other tlds to promote them !! The priority not for the Aftermarket/Domainers !
Imagine changing algorithm plus a lander not getting indexed by google ! With this situation a triple super extreme boost will not help !

Took it to X because I'm so upset and want more eyeballs even if it is beating a dead horse. Something has to change. I am not active in X conversations in the domain space until recently so my domain following is small, but I'm shouting it from the rooftops.

I had a similar situation happen to me when I inquired about the price of a domain name. Then I discovered that there are some domainers that view this as their marketing strategy. During my encounter the person asked such questions as "what was my intentions for purchasing the domain name", "what type of company will I build around the name" and to share with them my background, Of course, I declined to pursue the domain name any further.

Yup. had this happen to me. I email back and ask for a price and say I won't get on a call. I get emails every mo from GD wanting to get on a call. I repeat. The cycle never ends. Dumbest thing I've ever seen

Yup, more nonsense. If we name a large company, price goes up. If we name a small company, they won't give price. Snake oil salesmen

Hi,

I’ve seen many complaints regarding lost sales due to the 60-day lock policy on LTO transactions. Personally, I’ve lost several over the past few months.

Here are a few suggestions to improve how LTO sales are handled during the 60-day lock:

- Domains less than 30 days from lock expiry: The TA team contacts the buyer to confirm if they are willing to wait. If so, the domain should be manually transferred and approved on the same day the lock expires. This ensures the buyer gains full control before the next installment is due.

- Domains more than 30 days from lock expiry: The TA team may cancel the sale, but once the lock expires, the system sends the buyer an automatic reminder that the domain is now available for immediate transfer.

- Preventing the issue at listing: Since the system already detects 60-day locks and expiry dates, it could automatically disable LTO terms for newly listed domains under lock. Once the lock expires, the LTO option would automatically reactivate if it was set initially.

If anyone has additional ideas or improvements, please feel free to share them so we can work toward the best solution together.

@GoDaddy I’d truly appreciate it if you could raise this with the team and work toward a practical solution.

When using the BIN lander I see this phone number +44 20 7255 0717, and when using the Custom lander I see a completely different number: 480-651-9741.
Why this happens? Shouldn't be the same exact number on both landers?

These numbers provide support in any language?

All landers are always in English, when it will be possible to see multilingual landers? If someone from Spain arrives on some lander he should get a Spanish page instead of the default English.

Appreciate the feedback. The phone number on Buy it Now and Request Price landers is tied to your GoDaddy session location. The Custom Lander number is currently static - we'll look into this to see if this can be updated or not.

@GoDaddy Good day. You have a bug with the landing pages. The domains have a BIN price set and the correct landing page assigned in the Afternic panel, which should be shown for them. But for all domains that have Fast Transfer status → Set Buy Now Price, instead of the assigned landing page, a different one appears with a price request form, and the potential buyer cannot purchase it at the seller’s set price but has to fill out the form. This should not happen.

Also, if a user fills out the form and your agent sends a price request to the owner, the previously set BIN Price, Floor Price, and Minimum Offer disappear from that domain in the Afternic panel (i.e. the BIN price was set, but after such a request from the wrong landing page - which should not be shown at all - the price set by the seller simply disappears as if it was never there). I’ve faced this issue several times already. This also should not happen. Please fix the problem with the landing pages and the problem with the prices disappearing from the domain.

As we mentioned via DM, we’ve been digging into this for you. We found a handful of your domains where the BIN price wasn’t showing correctly across our landers and network, and we also ran a sweep of the inventory to make sure this isn’t a broader issue.

Our engineers are still monitoring and investigating the root cause, but the domains you flagged are now resolving to the correct landers with BIN prices. We’ll keep an eye on it and update you if anything else surfaces. Thank you for sharing this.

All domains from cash parking now showing sale landing page instead of ads.

@GoDaddy could You please check this issue I talk with 2 more friends and we all have same problems no ads and we didn't change nothing on our accounts.

Could you DM a few specific examples?

@GoDaddy The new 30/90/365 Search Views feature is amazing, but I would really like to see a shorter period too (Like 1, 2, 3 or 7 days). This would let us see if there is an immediate spike that warrants attention for more real-time insight.

Sniffing around and your names still not showing prices. I entered url and did a price request. Then came the questionnaire. Daddy do you really need to know if i bought a domain before when requesting a price? Request made 9:30pm see how it all pans out

What's the status?

@GoDaddy - How about you introduce NEW SALES DATA to your valuation tools?

It's been over 2 YEARS since that data was last updated!

I hate to state the obvious, but the longer you wait, the worse it makes you look as an "industry leader."

I won't disclose the name associated with this valuation, but I'm quite certain it, along with numerous others in my portfolio, have at least doubled and perhaps even tripled since 2023.

These valuations are incorporated into the Godaddy search path, Godaddy domain manager, Godaddy auctions and Afternic to name a few places.

The little "Explainer Disclaimer" does not make it okay.

The bottom line is and always has been, if you're going to provide valuations, the data must be kept up-to-date.

You have mountains of valuable data piling up that are sure to significantly increase domain valuations for most investors. Either update the data or lose the tool.

When it pertains to our assets, misinformation is the enemy.

Please make it so that the sorting order of columns is being saved (for example, I prefer sorting by views descending), so that there is no need to sort it again on every visit.

Also, some columns content could be shortened, they take too much horizontal space without need. Such as "Sale Lander": could be just BIN, RP, CL. "Fast Transfer": also abbreviations for its status or even some icons. "Status" – also too wide. It would greatly improve experience for people using laptops with one of the most common screen size (13"-14").

go to Afternic and search for Bostonfall without the extension. Then search with the extension. Nowhere to be found. Smh

Shouldn't it show the domain with Get A Price when the domain is clearly using the Afternic RP lander.
