That depends if YOU can make it profitable.
Adwords gives you the potential to obtain targeted traffic at a cost, how targeted depends how you set up your campaigns.

If you know the skills and if you know what you are doing then it is very very lucrative. A lot of people are making ton of money and I am talking about 6 figures a month. It also depends on the Niche as well. But there is plenty of money to be made in many niches. I have taken a course and it has helped me tremendously and it is specifically targetted to PPC.
