I need an advice ... Found a four letter word domain name that is available ,it has no significants to me so I googled it to see if someone is using it and found a company with the same name but it's not .com . It's. cz . It's a Czech company. So I'm wondering should I buy this name and offer it to them personally?

Is the word trademark protected in EU? If so you need to stay away to avoid the practice of cybersquatting.

However, if the 4-letter word is a generic term in Czech, you are safe to buy it because a generic term can't be trademarked.

Thank you for your replay. I didn't know cybersquatting existed. As I read now I think it becomes that in the full meaning of the word cybersquatting when someone asks for a lot of money for that domain. If I say that I didn't know about that company when I bought the name and if I offer it for 150 $ ,I think it shouldn't be a crime. But now I wonder what if they already had a choice to make it .com ,but didn't for a reason and won't be interested in in my offer .

Wait, Apple can certainly be TMed for certain products/services. Orange too.

There are other questions the OP should ask him/herself like: why is the name still unregistered ? How big is the pool of potential buyers - if there is only one obvious end user it's not a good bet, and the odds of TM issues are higher as well. Sales are the exception and not the norm. The most likely outcome is that you buy something that won't sell and waste money.

Yeah. I kinda think that too.
Meanwhile ,after I heard about cybersquatting ,just from curiosity i found some very popular people that still are not using their names. I'm tempted lol. But I won't do it.
